Bulldogs exhausted themselves, and by half way through the second half, they were spent. And 4 points was never enough. Needed to be 6 minimum. Bulldogs will learn, be better for it, but the more patient team won. And definately a very dangerous backline.

Former panthers players are the reason behind the bulldogs resurgence this year.see the energy in the players from the start but unfortunately they couldnt go on with the win.burton,critta and kikau know finals footy and played well.mahony played well also and was intimidating at times but overdoing it throughout the game.the other players had no finals experience and panicked when eagles got closer.eagles were patient and got the win because of the tired bulldogs players.bulldogs played 70 minutes but manly played 80 minutes.a very good finals match from both teams.

The only two teams in the competition that I really hate are the Sea Eagles and the Bulldogs, it's a good week when one of them loses, or both, but I have to admit this was an excellent game of footy and the Sea Eagles stayed in the fight when most other teams would have crumbled. I still look forward to seeing them getting bundled out of the finals, but I grit my teeth and congratulate them today.
