I like the video but it is not the NRL. The NRL has only been around since 1998. Before that it was the NSWRL and QRL. As I said it is a good video but the NRL has not been around since 1908. Even the NFL only go back to the Superbowl era in 1966.

There was no Tampa Bay, there were several other teams which make up the NFL that were not there (Houston and Jacksonville to name a few), so if you want to be truthfully correct the NFL was not even the same when the 1966 Superbowl took place. In the rugby league system we had two competitions one in NSW and one in basically Brisbane. Then we had 1988 come along which saw Gold Coast and Brisbane join and then we had 1995 where New Zealand and North Queensland among others join and then when Super League folded we had Melbourne and a couple of joint ventures appear and that is the NRL era, before that was ARL/Super League, and before that was NSWRL/QRL. The AFL are similar in the fact that the VFL was around (with Sydney and Brisbane relocated) before they brought West Coast and Adelaide in to make up the AFL era.

The NRL has only been going since 1998, before that you had the Sydney comp. Brisbane comp continued after the Broncos joined the NSW comp in 1988, So to all those who want to bring up the past take a hike. The future true NRL will have only 4 Sydney teams plus a Western Sydney side. PS the Panthers are the greatest team of the NRL era.
