It seems very team specific situation i.e. very convenient to have Ponga as dual to assist you. Very situational if the teams that play earlier suits your team and if you ahve plays to cover. Probably won't be too applicable early in the year as many people will ahve 3-4 bad scoring EMG players. BUT your video did make sense and taught me how it all works, thank you.

Hey Longy, every looping video I have seen has been people talking hypotheticals. What if over the next few weeks you recorded your loops then showed us each scenario and what you did. This video is a lot of what if's which makes it hard to understand.

This week I have Kini at 17, Salmon at 18 and Chan at 19. If Salmon gets a score I am happy with, I leave him there. But if he goes crap and I think Chan will do better, I swap Chan and Salmon and then Chan will be sucked into 17 because Kini on on a bye at the end of the round? Do I have that right? I am worried Kini will be stuck there and I only score with 16 players because Kini is on a bye.

if salmon gets a score ur not happy with, you will be able to swap chan with kini and take the risk with chan however you must do it before chan plays (may be before his game has finished but i’m not sure) and if you have swapped chan with kini you’ll get chans score, however you won’t be able to swap back to salmons score once chan has been locked, if you don’t swap chan with kini and leave it how it is, you’ll get salmons score, but don’t worry you won’t be playing with only 16 players this week, ur guaranteed to get a 17th from ur emergencies if kini is in the 17th spot

Been playing years, but still struggle with how to structure/place my 21 players, in what positions! Specifically.... 1. Why is it recommended you put the players playing early in the round in your 13? 2. Should you always place DPP guys you playing in your emergency positions, so 14+ if possible, to cover as many positions as possible, if late outs. E.g. I stupidly last round played with just 16 players as had Hopgood in my mids, a mid on the bench, and when Preston was withdrawn late in the round, Hopgood had played so couldn't be moved, and had no edge cover. 3. Also feel it's often not mentioned that not having cover for all positions leaves you exposed whrn guts withdraw late, just before kick off e.g. both Tatola, and Preston were late withdrawals for me.

Hey Brett, sounds like you’re pretty well across it! 1. Putting the early players into the starting side locks them into place, giving you flexibility with the rest of your side. 2. Absolutely! DPPs on the bench give additional coverage as well. 3. Agree, ideally you want a bit of a spread. It’s all risk vs reward. Personally I try to line my side up for loopholing, but you can also set your side up for best coverage.

The more I try and fully comprehend looping the less I actually know and I’m not stupid, lazy sometimes yrs lol
