Hey Jeff, love the video. I Learned the hard way that loctite can make plastic brittle. Used a little too much on my switch pads and the mounts literally crumbled. Found VC3 tape that I’m using now that doesn’t react with plastic. Kuda is going to be my river yak, especially in low flow situations. Appreciate all the awesome content.

The Kuda is a stable platform that goes very shallow. I had to patch it a few times. They were slow leaks, so there was no impact on my day of fishing. I cover how to patch them in many videos in the Inflatable Kayaks playlist.

Hey great videos. I just purchased the Kuda but I'm getting tendinitis in my elbows and pumping with the stock NRS pump is hard on me. Really wore me put and elbows iillin me.. im a small guy with skinny arms lol Have you found a electric pump that works with the Leafield - C7 valves? Trying to find something around 100+ if possible.
@TheLittleStuff
@TheLittleStuff 6 ай бұрын
I bought an electric pump at one of my kayak dealers earlier this year. It plugs into the 12 volt plug in my vehicle. I haven’t used it yet, as I tend to pump up the boat and leave it.

Hi Jeff! Have you ever paddled the Kuda 106? I am looking for an inflatable to fish small tributaries (50-70ish feet wide), and I am having a hard time deciding between the Kuda 106 or 126. Shallow draft and maneuverability are the most important features to me, but I am not sure how much maneuverability I would really lose with the 126 vs 106. I have a rotomolded kayak for larger water. Thanks!
@TheLittleStuff
@TheLittleStuff Жыл бұрын
Get the 126. Inflatable Kayaks sit on top of the water, and as such are super maneuverable.

I’m back. After using OnX, I determined I overestimated the size of the creeks I’ll be fishing. They are more like 15-30ft wide. Would you still stick with the Kuda 126 for creeks that size?
@ChrisFunktheFeralOne

i gotta admit, i would like to add one of those to the fleet!!!
@TheLittleStuff
@TheLittleStuff 2 жыл бұрын
Shallow draft, primary stability better than any rotomolded kayak and a stealth factor that you need to experience to comprehend. The hull slap on these is…. I don’t know how to describe what happens other than the vibration just gets absorbed and you end up seeing a lot more fish because you don’t spook them by just being there. But most won’t try it because of a belief that it will puncture and leave you going down with no way home. It’s like riding a bike. You bike great distances, you carry a patch kit and pump. Not a huge deal. Doesn’t happen often, but if it does, you’re ready to deal with it. The longest on water repair took me 20 minutes.

@@TheLittleStuff oh watching your videos on these made me a believer! I was on the docket to purchase one, but think that fell through with some recent changes at NRS. the weight, and transportability of them will definitely be beneficial to me!

I've been waiting for some videos on the Kuda to come out. If this had a pedal drive option it would be an instant purchase for me. I'd love for this to replace my heavy/bulky Bote Lono Aero for my travel setup. Looking forward to seeing this on the water.

Thanks for the video. I think I’ll stick with the Osprey 1436. I want something that is reinforced with additional layers of material in the wear areas for hard use fishermen. How does this compare to the Osprey
@TheLittleStuff
@TheLittleStuff Жыл бұрын
The Kuda is light-weight. The Osprey is heavy-duty.

This video is very helpful! One question: what happens to the add-ons like the rod and paddle holders when you deflate and store the kayak? Do you just remove them and store separately?
@TheLittleStuff
@TheLittleStuff Жыл бұрын
They are on LockNLoad bases, so they come off easily. That being said, I rarely deflate it.

Jeff, I've been following a while. The more I see you pushing the envelope of inflatables the more intrigued I am. I fish alot of difficult to access areas that require miles of dragging over the length of 1 trip with my Crescent UltraLite. I'm wondering how a kayak like the Kuda 106 or 126 would do in these situations? Do you have any videos testing the 1000 denier material?
@TheLittleStuff
@TheLittleStuff 2 жыл бұрын
Watch the video with the words “I messed up” in the thumbnail. I did get a small puncture in that 0.58 mile drag through super dense woods and briars. It took me three days to notice that one of the outer tubes wasn’t quite as tight as it should be. It was a quick application of some AquaSeal, let it set for 24 hours, and it’s tight again. Fish fins are another possible puncture source. Hooks are not. I have crankbaits hit the tube all the time. Bottom line is that you need to carry a patch kit and pump - pretty much the same deal as mountain biking. They are tough, but you need to plan for patching in the field. I have videos covering this in the Inflatable Kayaks playlist. Watch a few of those and you will learn a bunch.

Looks great, lots of helpful tips, hoping to order one very soon. Does torqeedo have a hand steering option or is it foot control only? Can the existing foot pegs be rigged up to the motor?
@TheLittleStuff
@TheLittleStuff 2 жыл бұрын
DJ, that video showing the foot control steering on the Kuda releases on Wednesday. Hand steering is too weak a mechanism and muscle group for a 3 HP motor. I tried it years ago with the NuCanoe Pursuit. It was painful on the hand.

That would be my ideal stealth creek boat with not much more than what it comes with. It and the rival look very similar to an iSUP. Should make it easy to get in and out of.
