informative video! I think your gargoyle would really appreciate more climbing space (thicker vertical sticks, a horizontal stick or two)

I added a bunch more to their enclosure after the video 😅

I see so much conflicting information on this. They're semi-arboreal, often inhabiting the low growing shrubs, just above the ground and below the canopy. Away from flying predators, and away from crawling predators. Where-as cresties are more of an arboreal species, spending most of their time closer to the canopy. So I wonder if a semi-arboreal setup with more horizontal climbing space would be suitable for a garg. I'm hoping to add a garg to my scaly family someday : )

Hey Nick, really informative video thanks! I love my gargoyle :) I was wondering if it's normal or means anything to do with they're health if these guys get a crooked/hooked tail?

It could be one of three things: 1. It's going through a growth spurt 2. it's producing eggs 3. It's dehydrated

ah thankyou ! She's still a juvenile so hopefully it's just a growth spurt

I would also like to add: sometimes gargoyle geckos are born with the kinked tail and most live just fine! But! And a big one. If they’re not getting enough calcium/nutrients they can form this kink in the tail. As long as you provide the right food, humidity, and environment your gecko should be able to live a long and healthy life!
