Recorded 9/3/2024 at 9:04 am. Since it's a mixed freight, I'll keep the video unedited in terms of speed. For the initial approach after the horn blows for the crossing down there, I'll typically keep that in, then cut to the part where the train is almost right in front of the camera. Anyways, seems like this could be the new norm in terms of speed for manifest freights coming up through the area. That auto control is what keeps the train at a snail's pace. The engineer is pretty much discouraged from touching that throttle. I'm fairly certain if the engineer was allowed to throttle up, this long train would be moving so much faster. Unfortunately, it seems like those days are over. Something has to be done about this upper management on the Class 1s first, and the investors as whole. With all that being said, I hope you all enjoy the video!
