It depends on the surgery you had done. With the Gastric Bypass, there are not many other options other than tramadol or narcotics, which are prescriptions. If you had the Gastric sleeve, we are not as worried about ulcers in sleeve patients so you could take ibuprofen in low doses

We recommend forever. You can take Tylenol instead of NSAIDS (which ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin, etc)
