MIGs are provided with Avionics and upgraded. Considerable money was spent to increase its capability. These aircrafts are called Bison. We are one of the few countries which use aircrafts for 40 to 50 years. HAL is doing MRO function for Russian and French aircrafts

Absolutely incorrect assessment of muslim population explosion by AIM. The rich Muslims may be having this inbreeding problem. The muslim masses and infiltrator muslims are having an average of 5 children. You go to muslim ghettos or rohingia colonies and you will find 9 to 11 children in every family living in shantis which have come up on railway land, forest land, defence land or other government lands. He clearly doesnt have a feel of the pulse of the ground situation.

Agree with Abhijit that assembling foreign origin fighter jets or tanks, etc. does not really add any value to Indian knowledge of these things these days. But it did in the past where we learned how these weapons were put together and assembly methods, etc. But now that we have been designing and building our own LCA, Arjun, warships, AWACS, etc. we no longer need to assemble these foreign products for the purpose of learning. The only benefit could be that we can speed up delivery of these French Rafale fighters if the French are not able to do it in a timely manner because they are already busy buliding it for themselves or their other customers. As you've said the Rafales should have been purchased in large numbers at the very first decision of buying those aircraft, instead of foot dragging on it about how expensive it was, we can't afford it, or we can wear down the French with those dragged out negotiations to force a lower purchsing price, etc. But the real reason maybe that we are a very indecisive people and we take a very, very long time to makeup our mind. Even then we only act when our backs are against the wall. As for affordability of these weapon systems, we also can't afford for the Chinese and the Paks to attack us either as they've done so many times in the past and they will do so again sooner or later.

They treat us to great non veg food at the best restaurant though they don't eat. Do like this.
