Super informative, AND I can watch it i front of the kids without turning the volume way down. I'm tired of all the cussing and dirty talk on other channels, so this is refreshing. Not to mention you're a great teacher.

I like 5/3/1 because of the single AMRAP set I like Sheiko because of the sub-max volume But this... Maybe if I was a teen, but at 58 .. no way.

It works pretty good short term. If you get overwhelmed, you can also modified to your own needs

It's pretty much one guys mash up of 5/3/1 spinal tap and sheiko that people just ran with. It works because anything works for novices

This was the first program I ran. I managed to add on about 145kg total on my sbd in 8 weeks (I would PR almost every week). I'd say it's definitely good program, but only while you're able to handle the volume. The nice thing I found about the program, is that it really hammered away at my weaknesses. I knew my legs were naturally strong when I started, but i was limited by my posterior chain, my adductors and hip mobility. The high volume hit those areas really hard. So I don't really attribute my gains to nSuns, rather it was from correcting my imbalances. Nevertheless, I found it is a very good program for those who want to build a strong base as fast as possible.

Might be something I do - just takes a lot to explain his system as it is largely misunderstood and somewhat complex and artistic :) Blessings

It will build a massive base if you can handle it - if not maybe look into GZCLP. Blessings

Maybe - there are a lot to look into and I will probably take a crack at some of the variations in the future. Blessings

Coulldd you do one episode on sheiko (doesnt have to be a numbered programm but just sheiko in general) also norwegian national team training and candio would be interesting
@gjmjblevins Жыл бұрын
I am thinking about how I might do that - it is a tough one to do a short video on as his system is complex and I would want to clarify what makes his training work instead of further confuse the masses :) Blessings

@@gjmjblevins would be also interesting to just hear your history and your training with him

I'm thinking about doing my power phase with mostly doubles and tribles, sometimes singles but at rpe 8. But I need kind of volume especially at bench, otherwise I won't progress that long. So instead of doing the single, I would build in 531 but 1 still as rpe 8 only 1 set instead amrap, and based on that new 1rm, adding the Sheiko work behind. So what do that every 3 weeks what do you mean? Same for squat, but not for dl, this will kill me and I'm far better in dl anyways

good video thank you so much, should you limit the number of accesory exercices tho as the main lifts already are on high intensity?

I usually just do the workouts that the movement uses (ex. Deadlift - Hip thrust, RDL, etc.) and just throw in some back and bicep for fun

Thinking of starting the 6 day DL as my first powerlifting type program, how have you been handling the volume? How are you incorporating your accessories?
@fungishroom9241 Жыл бұрын
Yeah I do the 5 day a week nSuns program and it is so fun.

Seems like a program you might run for 4 weeks, see really good progress in 4 weeks, deload, then never touch again and do a more “sensible” program instead
