I love your handwriting; very nice informative review. I am curious about Ebonite. It is now November 2020, is there still a way to buy this pen?

People get stuck on things because of highly known name. I got stuck on Gama because of the quality. I write daily, almost always using a Gama Forever. It fits my hand perfectly. It's a real treasure. I'm thinking about getting the popular, it's nice to have a back up.

Nice review, makes me want to buy this pen. One question. Have you noticed any “burping” ink with eye dropper style pen?

Thanks! With eyedropper system one will experience some sort of leaks due to burping. I observe this especially during transportation, temperature change or airplane difference in pressure. Therefore, I recommend this as a desk pen. I reviewed a Faber Castell Emotion and Waterman Carene which are the perfect fountain pens for airplane transportation .

This one is superb, however I wish I bought the polished version which is more pleasant to touch.

I suggest Gamma Supreme, see my other review . From the two mentioned I only know Eyas. Supreme is better in my opinion.

Being one who has grown up with eyedroppers, not too fond of them . Honestly I prefer cartridges.

+ARUNABHA LAHIRI can you give some arguments ? How do you clean the eye droppers properly? To change the ink color?

@@nswecronos Well eyedroppers are for long writing. They are meant that way so that you dont need to refill often. Anyway the process is similar, you just soak the nib unit in water for an hour and let the ink wash away. And as for the barrel, use an eyedropper to fill it with water and repeat the process until it is clean. Sorry for the late reply, i didnt get any notification. Hope you are well. I am currently using a quite modern vintage pilot, it is an eyedropper but doesnt have most of the issues, like burping and leaking. It is called the tank model. It is very thin and light pen though.

In general in eyedropper you need to refill it when it is half empty, otherwise there will be burping. In my childhood I have faced many accidents regarding this.
