Hi! This microphone works great when using through Garageband where I have the ability to adjust the input levels. However, when I try to use with the "Voice Memos" app, the volume is not set correctly. How can I control the input level for an app other than Garageband like Voice Memos or video recording?

I am looking for the exact same thing and I don't think you can. The only way would be to have a gain knob or something on the mic itself. I think it's a fairly large over sight because now I can't set levels with an iphone or ipad.

Please tell me how to solve the problem. I use GarageBand for real-time broadcasts by a third-party application. It amplifies the usb mic, but the effects are only sent to the microphone's earbuds and do not reach the desired application. How can you transfer effects to both headphones and app?

These guys fail to mention the their usb-c microphones, like the NT Mini which I just bought, does not work for online chatting with apps like facetime or skype. The iPad reverts to the built in mic. It’s terrible. They should mention that before we spend all this time and have to return everything.

not good. Android has auto microphone gain, it adjusts microphone loudness automatically, which leaves high and loud notes sound very soft. And you can't turn that feature off.

As long as the boom arm has the correct thread size (or adaptor) and can handle the weight of the NT-USB, you can use a third party boom arm.

I have the latest version on my iPad, and have tried plugging it into my brothers iPhone8 and it just comes up as this accessory is not compatible with this iPhone or this iPad, it sometimes works and then it stops working again even tho I have closed all programs on the phone or iPad. And that’s not even the beginning with these expensive crappy mics, annoying story, I’ve actually had three of these nt-usb rode mics and everyone breaks, not literally but the sound quality disappears after 1-6 months in my opinion, right now I have two left one of them is in on repairs because of the issues with quality of the sound and the other one is the first one I got witch I didn’t buy a warantee on, if you own one of these mics plug it into any computer and if comes up registered as a USB PnP sound device is not performing the way it should be. And yes every time I’m done using the mics I’ve put them back into the leather case with the silica bag in it, as long as I do this, you guys say these mics are supposed to last several years.. excuse my language but that’s bullshit, I’ve waisted several hundred dollars but In Swedish currency on these mics and I end up with one that works cuz I actually bought the warranty for it, I still got that first one witch “kinda” works but doesn’t really work at all, I’ve been told so by other people when I’m recorded vocals on it, they can hear it and so can I. However when I get the one that’s in on repairs, I won’t even dare plug it in to any iPad or iPhone because that is what I believe messes it up, next mic I buy will be an IRig most likely cuz that’s the WHOOLE REASON I bought these nt-usb mics from the start but they really suck, I doubt I will ever buy anything from RØDE again to be honest. Wasted my money😕

Unfortunately the NT-USB doesn't have the onboard processing other mobile-compatible mics have. The SmartLav+ or VideoMic GO II and Wireless GO II are some great options for your iPhone (when used with the SC15 USB to Lightning cable)

@rodemic
@rodemic Жыл бұрын
No. Here's our section of the NT-USB Mini about connecting to iOS. "If you are using a device that has a USB-C input, instead use the SC17 USB-C to USB-C cable. This will also work with the iPad Pro, which features a USB-C input. If you are using an iOS device with a Lightning port, will need to use an Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adaptor in order for the NT-USB Mini to function properly. Note: If you use a Lightning adaptor, a warning may appear saying that the mic draws too much power. If this is the case, simply plug the Lighting port of the adapter into a USB power supply. Once the NT-USB Mini is plugged into a device, the right LED on the front will illuminate, indicating a connection has been established. No drivers or software are required to run the NT-USB Mini - simply plug it in, connect your headphones and start recording!"
