I bought an NTS-1 to pair with my Microfreak a few months ago and this video is providing the inspiration to have a play around. I'm loving the searing lead sound at 3:00, when paraphonic is turned off. Sadly I can't quite get my version of that patch to sound quite so..... searing.

Sounds great, very synthwave sounding on the pads, you should make a synthwave song from scratch, including making the sounds and add a po32 for the drums

How did you connect the Microfreak with the NTS-1? Do you use a mono cable from 6.5mm to 3.5mm line in of the NTS? Or can you use a stereo for balanced input? And then from the Korg NTS you go out with unbalanced stereo, right? Thanks!

My Microfreak is out for delivery right now and as soon as FedEx gets here this is exactly what I'm doing hahaha. If I have them set to the same MIDI channel and I MIDI sync them, could I play the NTS-1 with the Microfreak keys? I wanna smother them in reverb and have them play together. You need first to use Midi Control Center software from Arturia and save your actual bank ( factory 2.0) to computer if not already present in MCC ( in order to retrieve back your own created patches if it is not done already). After this in MCC you should see factory 2.1 on the left side of window select it and save to microfreak..... Further on select your own patches. And send those to empty slots on factory 2.1 from the microfreak That's it !

Hello. Questsion: i have an korg electribe 2 and wanna order the Microfreak tomorrow and thinking about the nts-1 nö nur what do i need to connect These 3 Machines? I mean Midi or Something or is it possible to sync them without using an Interface or Midi?
@FreeBeat3 жыл бұрын
It depends on how you're looking to use them together. What did you have in mind?
@loamanai3 жыл бұрын
I wanna use the electribe as " Midi" and as drummachine and the Microfreak and the nts-1 like U did in ur video. So is this possible the Connect the nts-1 via cable to the Microfreak like it seemed in the video and connect these two via another cable to the electribe? My thoughts about the Microfreak was to use it for Sounds and melody.. sorry for my bad english!!!
@SpaceJamOnBluRay3 жыл бұрын
@@loamanai Yes. You will run the MIDI out on the Electribe 2 to the MIDI IN of the Microfreak and then use the MIDI out on the Microfreak to the MIDI in of the Korg NTS-1. And you can run the Microfreak audio through the NTS-1 for effects. And if you take the audio out of the NTS-1 and plug it into the Electribe 2 audio in, it will all go into the Electribe and you won't need a mixer. Also then you can add even more effects. If your Microfreak is set to MIDI channel 1 then your first synth pad channel will play the Microfreak on the pads. You can play your NTS-1 using the pads of the Electribe too.
@SpaceJamOnBluRay3 жыл бұрын
Or if you don't want to run the sequencer in time you could skip the MIDI connection and just run the audio from the Microfreak into the NTS-1 and the audio out of the NTS-1 into the Electribe 2 and make sure the "audio in thru" setting is on.
