In the video you can see her at one point stroking her hair. Does that mean she is nervous, doesn't know what's going on? She buys a more advanced plane and she doesn't know where things are on the instrument panel, while in the air. That is frightening. I assume she had no fear and trying different switches/buttons the plane would self adjust on it's own. Maybe she had retention issues of knowing then forgetting things. This is just a sad situation all around.

Here's what happened. She had 5 deg nose down trim. She pulled on the elevator to cancel that out, lost speed, and stalled. The plane quickly accelerated to 200 mph going down. The pilot then decided that diving into the ground was not good and started pulling on the elevator controls again. With the down trim and the high speed, the pounds of force needed to pull up was more than she was able to provide. So then the plane accelerated more to 210 and the folks figured that they couldn't do anything about it.

Unless things have changed, CFI doesn't conduct the checkride. That's done by an FAA checkride examiner. THAT is the person who needs to be looked into. Maybe things are different today. Has Generation Entitlement taken over that much? "Oh, hey, you identified the vehicle as an airplane! Here's your blue ribbon and pilot's license. @@beckydoesit9331unfortunately it’s was her fault, the official report pretty much suggest that she didn’t understand the basic fly pattern. On top of that, most of her video is now taking down or at least restricted to public due to evidence of her lack of skill and not trying to be harsh incompetence. This will be a very good case study for those who are trying to get in to this field to take it seriously and not just one of your KZbin hobby. She also didn’t understand “trim” and didn’t know how to operate the “auto pilot” base on her video. She kept thinking that when she press the “ATT” button that it will automatically lvl where she wanted to go, unfortunately, she didn’t understand that she didn’t have this one system that alternate the path to her new position in the auto pilot lvl. Meaning she needed to push power/decrease (manually get there then press instead she sometime kept holding the button thinking that there was something wrong) [this was clearly shown in her video, multiple time unfortunately] if not then she would go down and base on the report, it said that the blade went 30 yard from the crush site in a bowl shape 5 m deep. Meaning the engine was on full power. The conclusion of the report is claiming that when she was using the auto pilot, she didn’t put power, which made her enter in a downward trim, when she realize she was going down, she probably try to pull up, but with that much force push down on the top of the plane and now entering in a thick trim ( think as it when you at the beach playing in that water and out of nowhere you are being sucked in) in this case she needed to pull the yolk towards her and put the trim setting on the plane “down” and someone that is as new as her, having KZbin at the back of her mind, who didn’t still understand the basics auto pilot’s mechanic, it would still take a lot of experience to fix that error on that spot and on top of that it would be even hard for an average built male to push that yolk with that much G force as well so imagine a skinny scrawny girl. Regardless, it sucks. But it’s a lesson that we all gotta take which is if you wanna get in to this flying thing, you gotta take it seriously, not go home and edit your KZbin content, but instead learning the aircraft, procedure, and the manual and more

It won't lol. If they (family) deleted all her videos off her channel they're not going to release the crash video. In this type of situation the ntsb would have to clear it with the family to release it as they're the right of kin owners. Some of these so called plane crash experts believe the ntsb nuked her youtube channel but I don't see why they'd care at all what videos were there considering she's already dead and they already ripped her entire KZbin page so they've watched all the videos, nothing illegal going on so no reason for them to try and scrub it. The best we might get is an audio recording but I'm highly not anticipating any video whatsoever. Do you think your mother would upload the video of her daughter(son)/husband getting killed to youtube? I don't think so. In my mind the ntsb doesn't own the gopro footage her family does.

Unfortunately since she was a private pilot on a private flight, an argument for public interest and education is an uphill battle. Unfortunately it’s was her fault, the official report pretty much suggest that she didn’t understand the basic fly pattern.

I know you were trying to make some really good points. But you hit the reply button too soon. Edit your comments and make it make sense. There is language there and misspellings that are just all over the place which takes away from your overarching statement which I think is true but "didn’t understand the basic fly pattern. " "she didn’t have this one system that alternate the path to her new position in the auto pilot lvl."??? Basic punctuation would help as well (ie: harsh incompetence should be "harsh, incompetence") You're also missing a ton of the letter S which would go along way to making this more readable (ie: hobby should be hobbies, alternate should be alternates, sometime should be sometimes, try should be tried, and so on). Normally I do not nitpick about grammar or punctuation but a lot of what you're saying here is important for people to understand and the way that you worded it makes it very difficult, and I've been a pilot for 20 years.

I'm actually one of the instructors who gave her the license. You guys are acting like she was drunk flying the plane. She wasn't. She just had an accident. That's it. No one else got hurt except her dad so just chill. If a woman wants to fly a plane, let her! She was one of the best students I've had too. She's a regular Amelia Earharddt, God rest her soul.

@@beckydoesit9331 So she inspired you to get your pilots license but you were her instructor? You’re not a pilot ,at all .

@@beckydoesit9331 If you were part of the flight school..you would know to stay quiet as you gave this woman a license and she had no idea how to handle auto trim or what the flaps on an aircraft

Watching one of her videos it was interesting to see her main interest was in trying to figure out how to make the plane fly itself so she didn't have to. Shouldn't you be a competent pilot with a IR before you mess with auto pilots?? I know the younger generations are infatuated with pushing things on their devices????

She was 44 years old and had 400 hours logged. Not a child. Bonanzas are unstable in roll and having an a/p can be a boon even in the checkout process. She killed herself, her father and a nice Debbie... no, her instructors didn't serve her well and should have been able to sort out the Century a/p with her.

@@dyer2cycle Well preserved proving older people are stupid too. My nephew took 5+ years to solo being an aviation major in community college for 6 years. His first plan was to get paid to fly heli's LOL.
