EVs do more harm to the environment than regular petrol cars. The mining to lithium and graphite, the production of rust-protecting coatings of the battery, the production itself, the fire hazard and damage it'll do if it goes wrong.. But people don't actually care for the environment, it's a nice business model to unnecessary tax your citizens with fallacies backed up by questionable "experts"..

It couldn't be difficult to include an isolation switch at the live battery terminal. You can get a aftermarket version, so why not include it from the outset. Is there a good reason?

Yeah, there's a good reason: large lithium batteries SHOULD NOT EXIST, in the first place!!! Only because of low-lifes in the environmental movement, and their dirt bag politician followers, do we even have this insane, deadly, destructive, and dangerous technology, in the first place!!! Like in the Luton Airport parking garage fire in the U.K., for example, when 1500 vehicles went up in flames? Always nice to have a large lithium battery, in a diesel-hybrid vehicle, turn into a little white sun, and burn right through the concrete floor that vehicle was sitting on, to help spread that conflagration, to all 1500 vehicles, right? Especially when no gasoline or diesel fire has ever burned through a concrete floor, at only 800 or 900°F, instead of the 4000°F generated by that large lithium battery, in that diesel-hybrid vehicle, right?

Secondhand cars with batteries and leads in unknown condition, and with battery leads not properly secured! Inducing an unintentional short circuit can certainly get the sparks flying...

Sorry to say my friend, but large lithium batteries are catching fire all the time, because of the design of the batteries, themselves. It would be better if these large batteries were banned, and no longer used for storing such large amounts of energy, particularly banned for use in moving vehicles, of any kind, which requires enormous amounts of energy. This technology is failing, and we need to go back and use existing fossil fuel technology, instead. We only have EV's, because of crazy enviros, and their paid-off politicians, that promote this phony "climate crisis" cr@p.

well just come across this vid....turns out lessons weren't learned since then, as now another freighter called "fremantle" carrying 3000 cars of which were 500 electric vehicles burnt out due to "some issue with a car battery"....but the greens still maintain EVs are the "future"...yep...what kind of future though.....

The funny thing is, the salvor unloaded ALL of the EVs. None of them burnt. I believe that they actually DROVE off. So it would appear that an EV DID NOT start that fire.

@@sweetsunnyvibes Your "Fallacy" is my truth. Over the whole life cycle a responsibly produced Electric Vehicle IS better for the environment. The life cycle of a ICE car INCLUDES the harm incurred in obtaining the fuel to run it. Electricity CAN be produced sustainably. Fossil fuels can not. And a gallon of petrol or diesel, once used, is GONE. An EV battery can be used for years. Not just once. It can be reused for storage batteries after that. Then, eventually, the metals can be recycled. I have never heard of a gallon of petrol being re-used after it was burnt. Of course, NO CARS AT ALL would be even better. But that will never happen. And I for one would not want it to.

@@jspahn It was an EV, the Diagram of the battery clearly showed the main EV batteries along with the regular battery , that's why it burned for a week. This is the 3rd one caused by an EV fire.
