This Computer reminds me a lot of the newer Mac pros but less proprietary. cant blame them though it's a good design and works well for both systems.

Have you had issues with the recent intel 13 gen instability ? Did you happen to update the BIOS to new micro 0x129 ?

I haven’t had any issues so far, and I am on the latest BIOS from Asus. Here’s to hoping!

Nothing weird about saying it's great. This computer has up to date modern hardware compared to the 4+ years old workstations you used to have in the past and it's probably why the new Mac felt way better than the previous computers too

Because of the tight thermal envelope, these machines do not push the processor as hard. You can look into Puget Systems failure rate data. These NUCs were also configured and resold by Puget Systems as workstations and have had relatively low failure rates. --for example the failure rate that they have seen on the 13th gen have been lower than on the Intel 11th gen systems. www.pugetsystems.com/blog/2024/08/02/puget-systems-perspective-on-intel-cpu-instability-issues/

Hi, can you make a comment on the sound benefits before and after the Noctua fan upgrade? I’m pretty sensitive to fan noise so wondering if it would be a good fit for me.

The small fan is NF-A9x14., The larger stock replacement fans are NF-A12x25
