Cosmo I hope you get to talk to an Alto owner one day . You’ll be impressed. I upgraded from a T@B to an Alto 1743 which is the equivalent of a T@B 4000 but weighs 1500 lbs less I think and is fully equipped. The remote control caravan mover will blow you away.

I like the Altos composite construction. Its a very nice rig. I saw one on Assategue Island a few years ago. I agree - very light weight for its size. Owner loved it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJbLc4x8qbqtY7M Thank You for commenting. 𝕋𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕜 𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕨𝕒𝕥𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕘! =𝓒𝓸𝓼𝓶𝓸 ✅

Great interviews and tours of the T@B 320's ... they keep getting better and better. We still love our T@Gxl and have used our Honda Pilot as a camper for really long trips... (NY to Texas to Florida and back) We loved getting 33mpg ... hope you are well and have great camping trips in store this season. ~ Maria

glad you always ask about solar, it's interesting what others are doing , I'm looking at installing a solar system to power an Iceco fridge, debating weather to build my own modular system with an AGM batt or use a solar generator . always enjoy your informative video s Cosmo . " Safe Travels "

Why not have a solar generator that charges up AGM batteries?
@CosmoWeems2 жыл бұрын
Hi Harry. Solar generators are batteries. Charging one battery with another causes losses up to 40% in some cases. 𝕋𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕜 𝕐𝕠𝕦 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕨𝕒𝕥𝕔𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕘! =𝓒𝓸𝓼𝓶𝓸 ✅

Interesting to find out 100Watts of solar keeps his fridge going AND charges the battery. I thought my 500+ watts might be not enough (suffered from a bit of solar-watt envy I guess). Finding more and more boon-docking people running their fridge off a small power station and portable solar. Maybe time to dump some of my solar weight.
@CosmoWeems2 жыл бұрын
I agree with you 500 watts if you want to remain off grid. I have a 120AH AGM battery and 600 watts of solar. Trees and clouds require a lot more solar. Of course Chris and Beth have a generator which I suspect is getting a lot of use with and 85 amp hour battery. Fun to see what people are doing. @@CosmoWeems Good point about excess solar is really for the times/places with less sun. That is also the reason I now see the benefits of movable portable solar panels - even though my panels tilt, I can't tilt out of shade, but it would be easy to move a potable panel. Fixed panels worked great for my desert camping though.
@harrymills27702 жыл бұрын
@@mikemead2315 I think just having good batteries and really well-insulated fridge/freezer compensates for a lot of the clouds and shade, too. Kind of approach it wholistically.

Cosmo you tend to make off comments about things you do not see as top end. Is the screen No see ems or just mosquito? Jensen radio….well yeah um um… It’s kind of off putting and not the best way to tour others rigs
@CosmoWeems2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment Harry. I appreciate it. Jensen stuff stinks. Yet RV makers continue to use it because of hefty markup. I call it as I see it. A buyer should be aware of what they are getting. You can see plenty of "puff piece" videos where subpar equipment is shown as if its top notch with wonderfully lit photography and soothing voice overs. I prefer reality. I do truly respect Nucamps products and am not doing a disservice when I highlight Jensen audio sucks. I camp where there are noseeums. Its not a criticism to call out what kind of screen you are getting. Its important. There is no right or wrong on screens. Noseeum screens cut down on air flow and may not be a good choice for hot climates. but if you camp where the noseeums are - important. When purchasing you may have the option to specify what you want. Its information not criticism. its an observation. @CosmoWeems2 жыл бұрын
Hi DL, What are you referring to ? All the rig owners were happy with their purchases. Some were not clear on water capacity and battery capacity etc. and said so. Anyone considering these rigs would quickly find those details out. I find first hand owner info a informative. I go out of my way to provide a fair view of a product and company. Nucamp is a good RV maker with quality build and components IMO. I spoke to Nucamp about the leak issue to verify it before releasing the video. Putting a combustion exhaust under a window is not a smart idea. There are far better places to store a tire. Hopefully the video will alert owners of that vintage.=Cosmo
