I had both Soviet and Nuclear Strike for Playstation and really enjoyed playing them both. This was back when games were still quite hard (even on normal mode) to get through (modern gaming is too hand holding with quick time events). The final title tease at the end called Future Strike was dropped by EA. Supposedly EA didn't want to pigeon hole itself with naming conventions. So the game eventually became Future Cop: L.A.P.D.

This game is so fvckn hard until nowadays. Especially in north korea and south Korea stage. And I'm just stuck in south Korea stage. And finally I had to watch people playing this game on KZbin because I was curious how this game ended.

..and there was a soviet strike? The only two I ever played was jungle and desert on the genesis.. with the sega channel. I didn't know there was two other games in the series.. or three?

Soviet Strike was probably the second game after Tomb Raider 2 I owned for my ps1 back then, and it was fantastic. Nuclear Strike took everything to another level. It is very sad that most of the 90s game design formula doesn't work at this moment.

One of those gems which is even hard to get it working on a lot of retro boxes. This game is hard AF since you need to do all missions in a chapter no possibility to save unless the map is completely done. Junks fleet gotta be kidding about this mission no matter how much I shoot those freaking ships they just dont want to sink. Gotta admire your playthrough 2:35 I spent more time than that on this damn map still not completed it 😅

Always thought Andrea’s feats during Peace, DMV & Fortress Strikes were very underrated. Seriously, driving an American school bus through downtown of a foreign city in lockdown, hot wiring a Cobra that’s supposedly a museum exhibit, then jacking a train while heading north after the nuclear blast while ensuring the polichickens weren’t harmed, and somehow getting back into Pyongyang to “report” the blast?

First level when you rescued the 'elites" you blew up the friendly choppers that theg fly to help you take on the next mission locations!

theres a lot of blunder in that dmz mission, oh I used to do this mission hunded times and make no blunders such as no KPA forces sneak in, no submarine survives, and no KPA tanks went through the dmz

They're for when you start to take out Wong's Missile boat fleet. You pick them up and place them at the drop zones at the harbor's exit. You could also manually drop them on top of the missile boats.

I’m a bit bummed they didn’t put up an info but on the Hokum, especially as it’s missiles & armor were even more powerful than the Havoc & Commache.

That news chopper is a joke. Even with cheats they forced you to use it in the 1st 4 missions & the enemies still manages to kill SIROK agents, invade the presidential palace or get school bus! The key was never relying on that choppers my guns, but use stuff like gas cans, road blocks, ships ramming bridges, trains, & dissidents to your advantage. It was still frustrating though to play clean and not get to the Cobra without losing a life.
