Man, 10 years ago AILD gave me a reason to live, when i was all alone. Right now i am falling again but next week i am gonna see AILD twice on 24th and 25th. Writing this with tears in the eyes.

I joined the military and had the displeasure of being under the most toxic of leadership. Two of my friends committed suicide and I left. I tried helping who I could while I was in letting them know what rights they had as junior enlisted so they couldn't get bullied around. After I left I lost my son and my mom around the same time along with both my grandads, my health took a major plunge and a slue of other things This song has helped alot with me dealing with it. The only Metalcore band to be consistent thru each & every album cycle for almost 20 years…adapting their sound as time goes forward & even with the whole Tim situation they still come out swinging %100 & it’s such a beautiful thing to witness, so glad I found this band ages ago ❤️

Lyrics ....... Have you ever been blinded by the pain? Blinded, blinded by the pain Unwilling to see, senseless So blinded by selfishness Only focusing on myself And ignoring anyone else Becoming driven by despair Feeling trapped into a corner Losing more and more of reality Perceiving all the hurt only one-sidedly Have you ever been blinded by the pain? Losing yourself inside the heartache Losing yourself Feeling too powerless to change Stuck and unable to escape Incapable to see another way I need someone to shake me, to wake me I don't even need full clarity Just to start the shift from blind to blurry Have you ever been blinded by the pain? Losing yourself inside the heartache And does that mean we cannot change? Or will we always be seen that way? Will we…
