I dunno, man. Personally I was looking for more of a "Using a Balanced Material Contrast Composition in Your Post-Apocalyptic Artworks" type of video, but I guess I'll give this one a shot...

then youre smarter than the most people. look at my channel - videos of me roadkillgin a jacket have 100k+ views. videos of me making honest attempts to teach WHY stuff becomes ACTUALLY good aka "tedious" design theory have like 3k views still :D its really frustrating that people only want entertainment and "5 easy steps", but guess have to roll with that : /

3 spark plugs on a piece of string make for an awesome necklace. And when hanging on a piece of chain on your belt loop. Spark plugs are awesome. Also - to make sheet metal more usable, you can fold edges twice. Once, so that they don't stick out like they're normally are, second time so they don't stick out on the inside. Similar technique is used in sawing, so that the jagged end of the material is not visible from the outside or the inside. It's good when making something like a breast plate, when thick material is harder to work with (yeah, maybe one day I'll finish mine... xD) But yeah, thin metal is extremely dangerous, just as sharp as a piece of broken glass.

Awesome hints on the whole on this channel, but I do think that everything on an outfit should be either functional or decorative in a way that doesn't get in the way. So the ball bearings hanging from the waist are neither and should go... Then again, it depends on what kind of post apocalyptic you're going for. Recent apocalypse would be functional only. Later would start to include decorative items, later still would start looking like Mad Max 3.

Hey Nuclear Snail, have you ever tried to make something more simple, like junkyard apocalypse armor with road signs and tires, like if whoever had to make the armor was in an urban environment, and did not have access to military body armor? I made a set that I really enjoyed making out of a stop sign, a few licence plates, and some pipes that were strung together like chain-mail. underneath it all, I wore a tattered Vietnam war US Army shirt. It goes great with the classic WWII gas mask and leather straps, army/leather belts and ammo pouches -> etc. This is just an idea, I thought it would be cool if you made a more simplistic, limited set. Anyway, love your vids! They are great inspiration.

well... now that you ask it this way, i actually never did a kit without any army stuff as base... :O i just thought i did.. but i in fact did not. always used some army stuff as base so far. but that may be because army stuff is what is lying around my flat anyway, so for me its what i have available.

You can take the AA battaries and peel the wrap off, so you will have this grey-ish cilenders that can be used in costumes. For example, you can sew it to the ribbon and it can create the illusion of those shotgun shell holders

you can, but beware of the acid leaking, whci hcan happen on old, corroded bateries, so wouldnt wear for any combat situations etc., but for photos etc. can sure work :)
