I just ordered the AT Pro yesterday. Supposed to be here tomorrow. I have an MXT Pro and a Fisher 1266X - both good relic machines, but I needed a water detector. After talking to several users, reading reviews, and seeing that the "new" edition fixed some of the bugs, I went ahead and ordered one. Once it pays for itself, I plan on getting the Teknetics T2 SE (Fisher F75 lite). Thanks for posting this Michael - perfect timing for me.

That's a dang good out-of-the-box review, Michael!!! I loved my AT Pro. I know that when you start pulling out some good stuff out that mill site, I'll end up ordering me another one! Man, it has gotten to where I watch a NuggettNoggin video right before I go out hunting. Best metal detecting videos on the web!!!!!! Five stars!!!
@nuggetnoggin12 жыл бұрын
yea i tightened it up, its different for my F75 tho, if i keep it lose it has less falsing, but on the AT PRO you need it tight.
@nuggetnoggin12 жыл бұрын
i got mine in 6 days.. but that was 8 months ago.. the reason it is on back order is because there is a big gold rush i south africa and everyone purchased AT GOLDs after all them were gone they brought up all the AT PROs. its not gonna be months maybe a few weeks though. i have a few videos coming up to keep you busy til your AT PRO comes. Even the garrett metal detector factory is out of AT PROS and AT GOLDs.. i call them alot so i know .
@nuggetnoggin13 жыл бұрын
@DiggnNDumps The pinpoint button on the AT PRO is waterproof, the entire Detector is underwater proof, ive used mine in the ocean and river and it has never leaked. Dont use your pro-pointer in the river, even if you wrap it up it can leak. use can silcon it but it voids the warranty.

all i use is the small 5 by 8 inch coil, goes deep and i use it everywhere, even big farm fields and round all the old houses

I had an ACE 250 and I loved it. I upgraded to a White's XLT and then I got a White's MXT. To tell you the truth I miss the ACE 250. The White's gets a little better depth but the Garrett was a coin magnet. Now I want to upgrade to a ETRAC for deep silver but the Garrett machines make it so easy its hard to choose.

Good demo Michael! I have aGarrett GTI 2500 and it has many similarities to the AT Pro, although with your machine, you have the advantage of it being fully submersible. Looking forward to seeing your first coins and relics with your new machine! GL and HH!
@MrBottlecapBill13 жыл бұрын
@metaldetectingoregon I saw in some forums that after you auto ground balance if you then adjust it manutlly a bit negative, you'll get better depth. The auto adjust tends to be a bit too positive. Some guys were -5, some were up to -15 depending on soil.
@nuggetnoggin13 жыл бұрын
@xIIxRUExIIx typo, i cant go out and buy and new detector that only goes 4 or so inches deep, the next detector i get will the deepest made for surface hunting.

I bought my AT Pro a few months ago from Kelly Co. and I noticed when you opened the box you had a water proof and standard headset, plus ball cap. NOPE! Not in my box and I was wondering why. I paid $594 like every store in town and I am wondering if there was a special you ordered. Additionally on the assembly video you didn't mention installation of the rubber grommets while attaching the coil. If they are not installed your coil will flop downwards "all the time" which isn't good. I love the machine and would suggest it to anyone wanting to have a fun hobby and great hunt. Did you happen to see my video on AT Pro depth? Keep track of your depth when you get a coin. I'd like to see if you get deeper than 7". I know soils are different, but out here in the NW, and I go from the coast to the mountains, the depth is always the same. Keep and eye on your depth. And very nice videos you have. Thanks for sharing your hunts and finds with us.

@Mr4tunehunter Only think that comes with the AT PRO is the metal detector and headphones and manual.. the waterproof headphones were purchased seperatly they cost $99, and the headphone adpater cost $40 i think . The hat goes for $15. .

I have the AT Pro..I honestly dont understand the eliminate pull tabs you mentioned. So you want to hit the eliminate button on the section of things you do nt want it to pick up? If that section you eliminated in your video,was pull tabs,isnt that right under the "gold/rings" area too? how do you know its not going to eliminate those as well;the 55-75ish range?Still learning,I dont understand the various settings with Custom,Coins,Zero modes. Any info is appreciated,thank you guys

I noticed that you had 2 sets of headphones in the kit, did you have to order the waterproof headphones as an extra? I didn't think that they came with the A.T. pro. what cost were the waterproof headphones anyway? I also never got a hat with my A.T. Pro, "whats with that?"

@xIIxRUExIIx If i buy a Minelab it won't be a cheap E-trac i would buy a Minelab GPX5000. beucase it goes 2 ft deeper than the etrac or f75 or AT pro. etrac isnt much difference, i can go out a buy a detector that only goes 4 inches deeper than F75 , just for an FYI the next detector i do buy would be a GPX5000 but only for Diggin In Virginia hunts, the ground is so bad up there that i need a GPX to do anygood, stuff is so deep, after 13 DIV hunts at one site it gets hard to find shallow relics
