Just when everyone in the media picked a sweep 🧹 in favor of the Timberwolves after they went up 2-0, the reining champs will be the ones to do some late sweeping by winning the next 4 in a row to make it a 4-2 series. Playing the Lakers in the first round is the primary reason for the 0-2 start in this second-round matchup. That is, the Nuggets felt overconfident, thinking they had just beaten the best team in the West with a gentleman’s sweep of the Lakers. They entered this series as if it would be a walk in the park. But when the media immediately went from calling the Nuggets a dynasty to predicting a sweep for the Timberwolves overnight, the champs were awoken. The Timberwolves won’t win another game. The wild inconsistency in officiating from Game 2 to Game 3 should be the biggest story. The NBA has an officiating problem. GMs, players, coaches and fans need to know what constitutes an infraction and it needs to be consistent from player to player, team to team and game to game. These two blowouts were ridiculous. Wrestling match on/off ball in Game 2. And tight like regular season tonight. It doesnt take a genius to realize which whistle favors which team.

How many of the NBA commentariat said something along the lines of “I just don’t see how Denver wins this” over the last few days ? Well they can win by doing this. What a statement game! Jokic "he doesn't play defense" 3 blocks + 3 steals this game :) So many delusional commentators! Nugs are champions for a reason! More focus + some adjustments = fewer mistakes = win. That's the beauty of POFF basketball - adjustments, changes of tactics, momentums, and rhythms, individually and team-wise. Welcome Murray "blue arrow" as we hoped, Aaron CURRY Gordon :), Porter sniper, Joker MV3 and smart moves by Malone, best "players coach" in the league! Morale and focus boosted in the toughest moment! In a vital game, of such importance, POFF experience means so much! One without it (Minesota) has got legs heavier, arms shakier, water in ears. Vise versa, ones with piles of it (Denver), bring up their best basketball. BRAVO!

Is it still good defense if he gets 3 blocks 3 steals but allows 12 layups past him? Just asking for a friend.. It's not a coincidence that Denver won the one game [of three played so far] that didn't allow any physicality. I'm not saying officiating was unfair. I'm saying across the board starting in the first quarter, they didn't allow physicality and immediately started called ticky tack fouls. This favors an offensive centered team. IT'S THE PLAYOFFS 😅 Why in the world would the refs randomly switch it up 3rd game and completely officiate differently than the first two games? Perhaps the league didn't want a sweep 🧹 ? Denver needs our guards to back off to have a chance to win with their offense.

I wish I was a gambler. The nuggets are way too good, coached too good, and they play too good to just keep losing. Them blowing out the wolves in games was the surest bet of the playoffs

Nobody cared about the Disney Championship because it was an NBA production. Most NBA players just wanted to move on from being separated from family/friends for months. The Lakers were the best team that year. BUT Bubble Chip ranks somewhere between a real LOB and IST Banner by most NBA fans.

Gotta talk about the officiating. This game the wolves and Denver were both equally frustrated at officials and only 1 team has been Td up... Guess they should have thrown some heat packs because that's just a fine

We will see if my Twolves can bounce back tonight!!!! We won’t shoot that bad or play that weak of defense again, very hard to beat any NBA team three games in a row! Antman will drop over 30 tonight and Rudy needs to really step up his game!! Kat shoot more and no fouls!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love the Pod❤❤❤

Minnesota plays better without Rudy Gobert in lineup... He's a liability offensively... He crowds the paint. Look at the spacing they had in game two. Go back and watch that game... Plus Denver had to respect all of their shooters they had on the court when Gobert was not in the lineup.

So Rudy being the best defensive player in the league is responsible for the 40 point beat down? They still won with him in game one, Nuggets all playoffs haven't played their best game until tonight. MN is reminded of who the best player in the world is in Jokic. MN better win Sunday its a wrap going back to the mile high.

I feel Denver will win this series. This just feels like Warriors vs Kings or Warriors vs Boston all over again. Even if it goes to game 7, Denver has more poise and experience. Championship DNA is a real thing. Wolves had a meltdown in gm 3 that has me questioning them. If the game was close then maybe I’d have more faith. Although the whistle was against Wolves in the worse way in that game but still… Game was hard to watch.

I feel like in the Lakers series the Nuggets knew that would be an offensive series meaning even if Denver played at 100% on defense all game they probably couldn’t stop the Lakers consistently so instead they paced themselves to give 100% defensive effort in the 3rd quarter when they knew the Lakers with 2 older stars (AD is a old 31 to me personally) would look to slow the game down no matter the score and Denver then started to apply more ball pressure and rerouted guys way more often which resulted in a ton of turnovers and run outs that let them win almost every 3rd quarter. The TWolves apply ball pressure all game and Denver has now realized we can’t just out execute these guys and play 1 quarter of defense. In this series because Minnesota is so great at the point of attack Denver has no choice but to place more energy on defense and punt some offensive efficiency to get more stops

watching nuggets vs minnesota is like watching man city vs liverpool. if you play against intense defensive team that set traps and converge on you in numbers like that, in my sport the solution is to take 2-3 touches maximum, less to no dribbles and keep it moving around. teams like minnesota they smell blood if denver can put on a brave face and hold on until 4th quarter then the intensity will wear off and then you can start to play your natural game or just like today if you have your shooting boots obviously in nba that’s all it takes to win any game. credit to whoever coach the minnesota team, you can tell he works on it. it’s not “play hard”, it’s defensive structure and identity. 95 percent of nba teams dont have that

This reminds me of Mavs-Clippers in 2021 playoffs. Both teams didn't win in their respective home courts in 6 games until Clippers finally won in game 7 in their home court. Also the Celtics-Bulls in 2017. Bulls won the first 2 games in Celtics's home court then Celtics won the next 4 straight games.

Who knew that if Jamal Murray could just move normally, and the refs called the game normally and not totally differently from the regular (playoff) whistle, the _WOW AMAZING GREATEST EVER_ Timberwolves defence would just look like their regular (great) defence. There is no special science behind it. The Nuggets just played awfully before and are playing normally now (not great, just normally). If the Nuggets can just keep playing their normal game, I expect the series to be very close and competitive.
