Let’s go Rob. Red Rocket time 🇺🇸 This format is not optimal. They need an English translator with the non-English speaker in person to translate in real time to let it flow and so it’s easier to control and it won’t take so long. This drags and the excitement is dragged down

Simultaneous translation is very hard. With languages as different as Georgian and English, I would imagine the word order is completely different -- the ending of an English sentence would go at the beginning of a Georgian one, or vice versa. So, the only way to translate one sentence is to hear it until the sentence is completely spoken, which you can't do if the translation is simultaneous. So, basically to get around that, the translator has to translate the PREVIOUS sentence while listening to the CURRENT one. It's a very specialized and difficult skillset. The United Nations has it with those headphones you see them wearing, but that's because it's the United Nations.

@@JamesKillswitchPolanco I agree it's a horrible formatting. Maybe an alternative would be to avoid the live format altogether. Dubs work well for news programs. I like hearing some actor do Putin's voice in English lol. But that involves a lot of post-production work and for what? A video that gets a couple thousand views. Levan's channel has subtitles, and so does the Russian channel, even though those aren't very well done. EasyGerman has bilingual subtitles for language learners, and that works well -- but in a live format you still have to have someone translate, and then those would be edited out after the fact (if it's not a live video). so idk, this might be as good as it gets 😞
