Nuka & Vitani's Parents | 4 THEORIES | The Lion King

After a lot of requests I finally made a video about Nuka and Vitani's parents.
Here I'll show you the most interesting theories I found on the internet; these theories represent fan's opinions and are not considered as canon till Disney's confirmation.
None of these theories are mine, but I could have modified some just to adapt them to the style of the video.
Some scenes are graphic in nature and viewer discretion is advised (13+).

From the sentence Nuka says where he’s complaining about Kovu: ‘Scar wasn’t even his father, he just took him in’. I believe Scar is Nuka’s father as Nuka is implying that he should be king because Scar isn’t Kovu’s father. It’s possible Nuka is the son of Zira as they share similar characteristics such as eye colour. I think from the deleted scene where Scar wants Nala to be his queen, it’s highly possible Vitani is the unwanted child of Nala and scar. Then before Nala went to find help (and found Simba), Nala gave her unwanted cub to Zira. Vitani shares very similar characteristics to Nala and Scar, as mentioned in the video. My theory of who Nuka’s parents is that he is the son of Zira and Scar. When Simba was born, Nuka was already an older cub in a different pride that Zira was a member of that was not the Prideands. Scar mated with Zira and she had Nuka. Lions do go off and mate with other lions not of their pride. When Simba ran away and Mufasa died, Scar took over and invited Zira’s pride to the Pridelands with the hyenas. Nuka was being groomed for the throne by Zira. All but when Scar was hesitant and ashamed that his son wasn’t as smart as he was and nothing like him. So he stripped Nuka of his rite to the throne. Hence Kovu being paw chosen by Scar to be the King.

Maybe that's why Nuka never referred to Scar as 'dad'. Because Scar rejected him as his son, and Nuka decided just to take it. He wants to make Zira, and in turn Scar, proud, but he respects Scar's wishes enough to not acknowledge himself as Scar's son verbally until he can make his mother proud.

You know Nuka is a young teen lion when we first meet him while Simba is an adult at the time so Nuka can't be older then Simba.

Scar + Zira = Nuka. Zira would adopt Kovu and Vitani later and they were likely Chumvi and Tama's cubs since I believe Tama/Tojo were siblings, as were Chumvi/Kula. She likely killed Chumvi and Tama. Also Mheetu was the result of Scar + Sarafina I believe, making Mheetu and Nala half-siblings.

There is a scene in TLK2 where Vitani says "Where's your pretty daughter Nala?" Nala replies with "Vitani!" Keep in mind we never saw them meet before this moment. Maybe Nala gave birth to Vitani but had to give her up?

I didn't notice that scene, but you're right, that's strange. It's possible that Nala had to give Vitani to Zira, maybe because Scar was the father or something like that. I think it's something that needs to be deepened

This is impossible let me explain how. Vitani would be about the age of Nuka or just a few months younger in order for this to even be possible. A lioness is pregnant with a cub for three months meaning Vitani would have to be three months to a year older then Kiara. As Vitani is a cub when we meet her and not a year old or older like Nuka Nala can't be her mother. As to how she knew her name remeber Kovu did live with Simba and his pride for a short time. He could have told Kiara off screen about his siblings and Nala being the smart lioness she is figured this must be his sister as she is the only lioness of the age range. OR possibly heard Zira say Vitani's name which she does when she says "Attack" you can hear a low "Vitani" before the word "attack"

Zira doesn't seem to be motherly, I think Nuka was born at the beginning of Scar's Reign that's the reason, why he's full grown or close to it. Vitani and Kovu could be from the same litter of cubs, if Zira did abduct them, as newborns, she would have had a cub that passed away, so she would have been able to nurse.

The actual confirmation of Nuka's parents are Scar and Zira; that's why he gets so annoyed that Kovu was chosen and not him. Plus the comment he made about how "Scar wasn't even his father, he just took him in" refers to how Nuka envies Kovu for getting the attention and praise he craved from his father. Also, the fact that Nuka's parents were a psycho and a tyrant explains why he's as messed up as he is, don't you think?

I have an idea for a video, if you don't mind my opinion. What if you try to figure out why the outsiders look... Different from the pridelanders? Or maybe try to map out the family trees, or try to come up with, using genetics, what Kovu and Kiara's cubs will look like ^^ just to mix it up. I love your videos. Keep up the good work.

Oh wow I made the art on 3:50 so many years ago lmao I didn't expect to find it here now xD In that picture the dead lioness is Tama (from the comics) and the crying lion is Tojo (also from the comics!). Back then it was my main theory for Vitani's parents. Like, Zira thought Vitani was a male cub by error and she stole her while searching for an heir for Scar. She realized her mistake when it was too late but still decided to keep her, since she could be a useful warrior for her pride.

I do think that Scar is Nuka's dad as they are very similar in appearance and that Zira is his mum. I have heard theories that Scar disowned Nuka though. I think that Vitani's mum is a Sarafina type lioness. It kinda makes sense for the two not to call him dad/ father as they probably didn't spend much time with them once he disowned them to being king ect.

My Lion King Theory: I believe Nuka is the only biological son between Scar and Zira. Maybe Scar saw Nuka to be a runt and did not believe he would be able to have the dominance of a King, seeing that he himself was not stronger than Mufasa when Mufasa was alive. Vitani and Kovu on the other hand could have the same parents. Maybe Zira went out to find a stronger lion with stronger genes to produce a good heir for Scar. Vitani was the first try for a male, but she was born a female, so Zira mated with the same lion again to produce a male. This male turns out to be Kovu. By the time of Kovu’s birth, it would be right before Simba returns to the Pride Lands. This would explain why Kovu has hair on his head during Lion King 2 as a cub and is not bare headed like cub Simba. Kovu would be a couple of months or years older than Kiara. (P.S.) I don’t believe Scar cared for Zira. After all, if the deleted scenes are true, he tried to mate with Nala. Maybe Zira did all of this “next king stuff” voluntarily and Scar went along with it. You can tell in Lion King 1 that Scar had no plans for the kingdom whatsoever, due to him running the kingdom straight down to the ground, so I highly doubt he would have intentionally cared for a heir. (P.S. Part Two) Nuka looks exactly like Scar and has the same health disadvantages as Scar. I really believe he is Scar’s son.

Scar and Nala could be Kovu and Nukas parents because we don’t know how long scars rule was. Scar would tell Kovu and Nuka to never tell anybody that he is their father and Nala wouldn’t tell Simba that she mated with Simba because if she told him that he would leave her or maybe even kill her.

Nuka can be a possible cub to Nala but not Kovu let me explain why its impossible for Kovu to be Nala's cub. Lioness are pregnant for three months. That means that Kovu would of had to been a newborn when she left to find Simba. This would not be too bad but considering he is about the age of Kiara but, it would still take her six months to beable tobeable to get pregnant again since thats when Cubs are sent off from their home. So for Kovu to beable to be her cub he would need to be nine months to a year older then Kiara

Although Nuka looks very similar to Scar, the lion she met may have looked similar to Scar, since lioness's find Darker Lions more attractive .,.

My headcanon/theory is that Mheetu and Tama are Vitani's parents, Tama very closely resembles Vitani. Meanwhile if Mheetu really was Scar's son, he could have inherited an outlander build and darker fur, or at the very least carried the genes for those traits and passed them down to Vitani (she is slightly darker than Tama). Same thing goes for eye color, Sarafina and her family members have blue eyes running in their family. The story is, during Scar's reign, Mheetu managed to gain Tama's trust in spite of being Scar's son, and the two fell in love and had Vitani, but were also forced to try and shield her from Scar and Zira for obvious reasons. Another version could be that Mheetu and Tama had Vitani after Scar's reign, and shortly after his death, Scar's spirit began to communicate with Zira, causing her to become interested in not only Vitani, but also Kovu. Kula and Chumvi's son. Zira kills 'em and gets exiled with two new cubs to care for

Zira is their mother, and noone knows for sure the fathers, but scar is apparently nuka's father, which nuka has his build and mane but not his colour, kovu's dad is apparently a lion named chumvi who does look like kovu, and vitani's father is apparently a lion named tojo, but that's all that's been said really, but great theories xxx❤❤❤

I think during scars reign they had nuka and vitani, scar wasn’t satisfied with nuka so zira stole a lion cub from another pride which was kovu, I also think the reason nuka calls scar by his name is probably because he was disappointed that he wasn’t chosen as the chosen one which vitani gets sick of hearing and that is the reason nuka doesn’t call scar dad anymore, zira does try to tell kovu that scar is his dad when they are not related

They may not had called Scar dad because they were raised like an army. So you would never call him dad and if you look at the reaction from Zira when called mother she is really not happy with that title. So she could be the mother. And Scar looks a bit like Nuka. And Scar was not around. But Vitani I haven’t thought much on...and I’m sure I miss spelled most of their names.

I think Vitibi’s parents are Scar and Sarafina (Nala’s mom) now hear me out before saying anything. When Vitabi was born would’ve been near when Kiara was born, which was close to Scar’s death. So Nala couldn’t have had Vitabi and Kiara at the same month or year. But Sarafina can and might’ve been pregnant with Vitabi before Simla came back. Considering Nala looks like Sarafina it would make sense if Vitabi was Sarafina daughter

I do believe that Vitani is Nala and Scar’s daughter. So during the time Scar ruled, he got Nala pregnant when she grew up. Nala was scared and pissed so she left and found Simba. And we all know they have a wonderful night in the jungle so that’s when Nala had Kiara. Since cats can have a litter of cubs from different fathers, Vitani and Kiara are from one litter, they are sisters. Since lionesses give birth in a quite place away from their prides, Nala probably gave birth away from the pride and gave Vitani to Zira( or perhaps Zira knew Vitani’s Scar daughter and stole her while Nala was hunting ) Anyway, after a few weeks Nala only took Kiara back and Simba thought Kiara is the only child in Nala’s litter. This makes sense that Vitani and Kiara are same age.

My theory: Zira may have had a relationship with another lion a long time ago, perhaps Tojo (from the comic books) or Chumvi (from the books) so that she could have Nuka, and after a while, Vitani. Zira before had only two cubs, but then, she relates to another lion, who ends up giving birth to Kovu. Scar probably allowed outsiders to hunt and has also spoken to Zira during his reign, Mufasa probably did not allow outsiders to hunt so he could keep gazelles, antelopes, wildebeests, and other animals in balance in the circle of life. However, Simba returned and after a great battle with Scar, causing Scar to fall from Pride Rock and be devoured by the hyenas, and after that he was burned by fire, he became king. Zira believes (or knows, but with the hyenas having killed) that Simba caused Scar's death. Zira then gives birth to cub Kovu after Scar's death. Zira says she will avenge Scar and kill Simba, so Simba exiles her and all the outsiders. In a deleted scene, Scar talks to Zira (in the same way that Mufasa talks to Rafiki in Lion King 2: Simba's Pride) and says that Kovu may be Scar's successor, because they are very similar. So, Zira pays more attention to Kovu than to Nuka and Vitani.

My theory: so as I mentioned that Kovu’s and Vitani’s parents are Amaphe and Zu ja but Zu ja dies after the fight between Zi ra’s sister Thula and Amaphe and him then Thula went to the pride lands then Amaphe abandoned Vitani and Kovu because she thinks that Thula is lying about her niceness but what about Nuka what about his parents well my theory so well that is when I think that Kula and Chumvi was his parents but then Kula went to be with Tojo instead so then Tama adopted Nuka but then another fight between Kula Tojo Tama And Chumvi Then nobody died though but Tama Tojo Stoped because they knew that Tojo and Tama were siblings then Chumvi went to the jungle cause he was mad 😡 and Kula went back to pride rock then something happens to Tama Kula and Tojo oh and Chumvi then Zi ra manages to Adopted Nuka

My Theory! Nuka's parents During Scars time as King Zira and Scar had Nuka, went Simba came back and killed scar Simba banned Zira And Nuka from the pride lands Vitain's Parents 1 When scar was King scar needed to have good offspring (strong, confident, evil) and scar didn't think Nuka was good enough so he turned to Nala as she was strong and wasn't scared to stand up for her pride against scar. When Nala rejected Scar went to his teenage girlfriend Sarafina (nala's mum) and she agreed as she probably still had feelings for him. Therefore Vitani was born. Because of the state of the pride land Sarabi (the queen and simbas mum) grow to hate Sarafina who was until that point her best friend because Sarafina had mated with scar and was being given time off to look after her daughter while Sarabi was going though hell morning her spouse and son Sarafina was having fun raising her cub so Sarabi kill her best friend. Which explains why Scar didn't hesitate to hit Sarabi and also why we didn't see Sarafina in the end of the lion king, because of this Nala hated her little sister as she thought Vitani was the reason her mum was dead, Why did Zira Have Vitani in the Lion king 2?
