Wtf happened between 0:28 - 0:30. The fireworks made the dramatic part of the theme so cool. It seems like they tuned it down. Does this mean bad things to come for Jubilee in the future? One of her clips was altered to have the new character sunspot in it.

Its changing parts of the intro to keep it relevent not the whole thing then they would have to rework like 70% of the intro.

They're keeping the parts that are most iconic of the original intro, and the closing sequence where heroes and villains are about to clash while innocents run away to escape the imminent battle is on the very top of that list.
