I think there is symbolism with where Isaac, Sam, and Jamie kept their pieces. Isaac: under his captain band, because he believes he can be a good captain. Sam: behind the Nigerian team picture, because he believes he’ll make it on that team some day. And Jamie: in the book Ted game him to better himself, because he believes he can be better.

On camera, it appears 2 had it w/in their uni. -- Isaac & Colin. So, each of the them are literally carrying it on the pitch w/ them @ all times. Powerful.

@@rvog6584 and those are the two whose dreams involve the Greyhounds’ pitch-Isaac to be a good captain, and Colin to just have a day where his fella can come onto the pitch with the other SOs. Damn. For something that I described in episode 1 as “‘Major League’ only soccer”, this is some incredibly deep stuff….

One of the biggest factors that is not often spoken about when building a sports team is the locker room culture. It is probably the biggest factor in building players into a team. This show really displayed how important it is.

For me it's the looks on the coaches faces. The wonder and awe in Nate The dawning realization in Roy The stunned look on Beard And the utter contentment in Ted Even Trent Crimm's cynicism gave way
@andrewquinlan6554 Жыл бұрын
Trent was far from a cynic by this point. He was fully bought in
@mattbjorkman991610 ай бұрын
If you look at the scene with Trent his shirt is blue and the writing is yellow. Also with the way his coat is split you can see the L and I in believe…it’s actually a brilliant shot.

This absolutely wrecked me emotionally. Waterworks started in the finale right about here. As a former athlete, there is so much about this that hit all the right notes. Belief, sacrifice, forgiveness, pain, love, family, brotherhood, coaches, players, fathers, sons, friends…all of it. All right here. The fact they all kept a piece of Ted with them at all times, just to bring it all back together in the end…that was it…and when the squad breaks to reveal the reassembled BELIEVE poster - what a moment. Absolutely brilliant show. One of the best ever.

"We're way past big speech time. I want to thank you for the last few months; it has been very special for me. Anybody have anything they want to say? [Team members take turns giving input, then stand and put their hands together.] "I love you guys." [Players say, "Team!"]-- Closing locker room scene from Hoosiers. The homages to other films and TV series are one of my favorite things about this series.

It gets even better when you realize its the book that Ted gave as a gift when he chose books to match the players in season 1 Episode 3. Jamie kept it, which surprised me since he threw it away in that scene. I wonder if he later dug through the trash to get it back or if he bought a new copy.

The moment when Ted told Nate that he still sees that sign was absolute perfection.
@BigTulsa Жыл бұрын
You can tell in this scene after Ted tells the team to 'bring it in' that Nate is still holding some regret even after his apology. The redemption and how it played out this season with pitch perfect. He's flawed, as we all are, but when he joins the group you can tell he's been accepted back into the group. If this is the finale for sure it was very well written and wrapped up pretty well.

One other thing I noticed; as hated by the players as Trent Crimm was (Roy especially), them allowing him in the 'bring it in' made me a little misty, NGL.

Thank you for uploading this! My favourite part of the finale and right up there as one of the all-time memorable moments from the show! This scene broke me. When Nate and Ted look at each other from opposite sides of the room and he puts his hand in at the end 😭 I liked the nice touch of Jamie keeping the book that Ted gave him. This show is superb.
