As a premier league fan, I find this really unfair to every non league teams. For missing out on the important money which clubs needs it.

This is a really good opportunity for the FA to restructure and organise the pyramid. I think they want to, but dont want to announce it yet publically and waiting to see the club reactions as cruel as it is... I think they want to see more clubs fold and merge.

The thing is apparently the premier league are playing the rest of the league behind closed doors, but they just disregard non league as always it is so stupid 😡
@dainsismey49004 жыл бұрын
Flight Plan Aviation surely there’s ways to keep premier league players isolated though? Whereas you could easily have 2 or 3 key workers in a non league squad who may pass something on
@kianolner38184 жыл бұрын
Premier league teams can afford to play behind closed doors because they have enough money to pay bills without fans having to pay on he hate. Where as non league teams rely on match day gates and food kiosk money to pay bills. This is why Barnet made their non playing staff redundant. My team Nuneaton and another team in our league(needham market I think) have made a go fund me page for fans to put in a bit of money to pay bills. You won’t see Liverpool or Man City doing this stuff.

They should promote the league leaders from step 3 so the national league north and south have got the proposed 24 teams. So South Shields and Tamworth join the NLN, Worthing and Truro join the NLS.

No matter what you did clubs would still complain. The only fair thing would be to carry on the season, but that's not possible. It not the fa thought or league, it was just strange incident, which hopefully never happens again.

I don't think many non league clubs would even consider taking legal action against the FA over this. The legal fees involved in doing that would ruin them.

Speaking as a Redditch fan, I'm not jumping for joy. It's hilarious that we have stayed up when we have been so shit, but it's tragic that it's come to this stage, and truthfully we'll just be relegated next season anyway. For the record, it is actually 1 win in 29 (in order since 31st august: 1 draw, the 26 defeats, 1 win and the another loss). Regardless of anything else though - people are dropping like flies and the rumours are talking about clubs taking legal action about football... Am I the only person who finds that horrific?

Many non league clubs pressed the FA for a quick decision so they knew what division to budget for in terms of player contracts. Personally I think points per game would have been fairer though. I think it will be difficult for the National League to do anything other than follow suit, unfortunate though it may be. However, with the demise of Bury creating a vacancy in the EFL I think there may be a case for promoting a club from the National League.

It would make more sense to finish this season when safe to do so. Play the following season on a reduced amount of games. ALF in Australia are considering reducing theirs. It's getting the prem to agree to this as to much money to loose if say 20-21 was a half season. Too much greed and far too many fingers in pies.
@harrymurphy38104 жыл бұрын
As a York fan I don't know what to really think of this if the NLN got voided. As kings Lynn are having a bad patch of form you just don't know who will go up and at the bottom of the table it looks almost nailed on that BPA and Blyth are going down so I really aren't sure how this will be finished.

Well if money wasn’t so important in this world we could just void the season, but it is... so as the man has kindly explained, we would have to finish the season some how with nobody coming up from step 3 but the promotions and regulations otherwise will be as normal! This is what will probably happen now
@mattsrailwayadventures4 жыл бұрын
Points Per Game would have been fairer, it would reward teams like Vauxhall and South Shields who have stormed their leagues this season. The other question is - the football league currently only has 91 teams, if everything gets voided for the 19/20 campaign, how do they sort that out? Its a mess, its a complete shambles and the FA won't come out of this looking good at all.

I read somewhere else on the net a suggestion to work out all teams’ average points, then multiply that by the number of games that team had left to play and then add that figure to their current points to determine the final points total.

As a Stafford fan this decision has thankfully saved us after a terrible season. Correct me if I'm wrong but surely clubs like Jersey will end up promoted still through the amount of clubs that will sadly go bust and leave gaps

Yes at least 1 team in a higher league than Jersey will fold and they will most likely have priority over any other team.

Football v 260,000 deaths. Make your choice. A hard time for everyone, some more so than others. We are in a crazy situation but everyone of us could lose a partner , child , parent, grandparent, colleague, neighbour etc. Football is not a matter of life or death, coronavirus is. Feel for the teams that had already secured promotion but bigger picture is far more important right now. Personally Ithink the National League are just waiting to see what happens in the EFL.
@davidpenn61334 жыл бұрын
It's the wrong decision. I believe the season could start beginning of June. Most clubs have 10 games, 2 a week. The season could be finished mid July. Play offs they last 2 weeks of July, then have August off & start the new season mid September.
