If we can't play the remaining games, do the tables on PPG then do promotion play-offs when safe if possible (otherwise give promotion to the highest team outside the automatic promotion places).

Everybody seems to have missed the point. Now look into the future . If there is a 2020/21 season this also will not be completed as the virus will be still going strong around December time. So the answer is to make this season into a 2019/21 and this will give all teams (those that survive ) well over a year to complete the fixtures. If not we end up with 2 dead seasons.

I'm frustrated about the lack of communication about this now, especially from South Shields. There's been nothing from them since the FA ratified this. Last thing we hear they're taking legal advice, decision gets ratified and nothing, one way or the other?! Not even the FA have ratified it but for legal reasons we can't comment any further?!

Yeah, but on the other hand there's far more mid-table sides who don't mind the season being voided and are happy to be now cutting their financial outgoings, and also sides in relegation trouble who are delighted to have been given an unexpected repreive. Their votes will always outnumber the fewer teams who had a chance of winning promotion and who now feel cheated. It's harsh on these clubs, but there is no solution that is perfect for all clubs.

Also don't forget the issue of needing medical personnel on standby in case of bad injuries and that just won't be possible with the current situation with Coronavirus as there are not many available medics and if a player were to be seriously injured they couldn't get the usual level of care and service to be treated, thus putting their health in danger

the Premier League hasn't said a thing because they're legitimately determined to give LiVARpool the title, no matter how many excuses they've thrown out there since the first stoppages, the EFL can't be trusted with organising a piss up in a brewery as their handling of Bolton/Bury show so the National League may as well lead things since the FA have done something lower down
@colinperreira75884 жыл бұрын
In my personal opinion I feel that making the season null and void is the most obvious and fairest decision. Ultimately, as much as the teams near the top will not like it and it could be deemed unfair to them, it is fair to more teams and the majority should therefore be considered. I feel that if teams are good enough for promotion one season, they can do it all again so it shouldn't be that much of an issue, as terrible as all that hard work going to waste is. Effectively null and void means it never existed so the hard work technically never existed and no team actually did poorly or well. I think making the seasons null and void would then allow things to return to full normality with league seasons operating as normal from 2020/21 and starting and finishing at the correct times, assuming the Coronavirus is either eradicated or at least massively reduced come the start of August. Playing the games in any capacity whether behind closed doors or with fans in attendance is nearly impossible and going by Points Per Game (PPG) ratio, this will upset more clubs than the season being null and void because clubs like Havant & Waterlooville who are chasing top spot will feel hard done by because PPG doesn't take into consideration recent form and the potential for form to increase and a run put together that could have meant they could have caught the top team and won the league. It will also then upset other clubs who ate just outside of the play-offs where PPG would see them miss out on the chance of promotion. I know many clubs at Steps 3-6 seem to see this differently, but I'm sure they would rather null and void than miss out by a system such as PPG. Obviously the favoured option and probably why they are unhappy is the potential for the remaining games to still be played, but that option is very unlikely to be fulfilled in my opinion. Between PPG and null and void, I am on the null and void side personally.

Kings lynn have worked hard all season we what the highest points per average in our league we were projected to loose st the start of the season and now we are projected to win if it is nul and void then this will all be in vain the only fair way is to take the points per game as that is the true reflection on all the teams performances over this season
@coreycox38024 жыл бұрын
Colin Perreira that is the dumbest thing I’ve heard the bit where you said if a team is good enough for promotion one season they will the next? How will this happen mate, other teams may have new management, more money pumped into the team, less money, they may have players going out on loan new players coming in, it’s fair to say that is the most dumbest comment I’ve seen,sort it out mate it’s fair to say to void the season is very unfair as it doesn’t give all teams an equal chance, best thing would to probably play behind close doors or delay the season a few months
@tomjones99344 жыл бұрын
Surely with the complicated play off situation in level 3-6 this is the only option. Is it fair, definitely not. Some teams should definitely be promoted and some relegated, but unless the season starts at the end of April I see no option. The playing behind closed doors option is a non starter for financial reasons surely.
@danjones89214 жыл бұрын
You say it's as if the season never existed but the investment clubs like South Shields and Jersey Bulls put in is very much real and you'd imagine promotion would be a big part of their financial structures

Sorry but their is only supposed to be so many people in one erea. When you consider. you have 11 players on each team. 1 referee and 2 assistant. 5 substitutes on each team and the coaching staff. Without supporters or other club staff you are talking about 40 people in one area. So no the FA are right in their decision. The League should do more to financially help these clubs yes. But the FA are right to suspend the football matches.
