NICE...Another DVS option is using this with the Akai AMX mixer controller for extra portability and the crossfader on that so nice. Mixer is small and portable

I had 3 stokyo Kutters, great feel, but the faders had much static noise even when new... its very disturbing and disappointing ... have that in mind...

If you were to play a beat via your phone, then plug the PT01 into your computer via USB, and recorded the scratches into a DAW, would it also record the beat or just the scratches?

Looks killer, so I want to get a setup to start learning on before I invest in some Rane Twelves or something more high end. I have a few questions. Wouldn't I be able to get a DVS controller with a crossfader built in and not need the SL3 + one of the crossfaders you mentioned? I'm interested in getting a setup with VDJ. I'm looking at the Akai AMX since it's cheap. I just want something to get my feet wet in. Would the PT01+AMX would get me going in VDJ? AKAI's page says you need the Serato DVS expansion pack. But that's for Serato. VDJ's page just says it's compatible. So I'm not really sure what else I'd need.

I’m having a problem using sl3 and the pt.01 scratch...: not getting a signal Do I need to upgrade the needle for it to work??? Have you run into similar issues with grounding?

You will need a soundcard such as the Denon DS1 to use the Numark Pt01 with DVS. It wont just plug and play with Serato DJ unfortunately.

@crossfader I've got Numark PT01, Serato SL1 and Stanton SA.5. I have a problem when I put just serato on Numark its always a terrible sound. This sound is always when serato is palying on Numark. Maybe You have some experience/advice with this case ? Thanks in advance. Cheers

These turntables look better than the numark ttusb belt drive turntables I have.ran through a denon ds1 and a maxars cut mixer.better off getting two of them and two 7" serato vynil

I have an akai amx mixer connected with a numark pt01scratch, i have the 7inch serato control vinyl, but i have no sound koming out.... is there any way you kan help??

your serato 7" is a timecode vinyl.. It has no audio tracks/sound on it.. your audio should be coming from your laptop/PC/applemac or whatever is running your DJ software. You need to configure your software to work with your mixer to play your MP3's. having the serato vinyl only allows you to manipulate the mp3's as if the sound was actually on the serato vinyl... Thats why they're called timecodes. Hope that made sense...best I could do.

a pt-02 isnt happening anytime soon.portablism partially lives off the modding side of the culture and the fact that the entry level price is affordable. think of it as a base DLSR. if you want a better functioning portable turntable. you got to mod it with more accessories

Unless you already had an SL box lying around, why would you use it (with the raiden) over something like the Akai AMX which also has a mini innofader, is recognized by serato, and is DVS ready? It keeps just a bit of portability, no? And more affordable too.

+Marvin Turner Like you say if you already have a Rane/Denon soundcard then one of the portable faders is a cheaper option but if you can spend that extra money the akai is a great suggestion too! Just for anyone reading you would have to purchase the Serato DVS expansion if you got the akai which is something worth being aware of.

if your left handed trty the reloop spin...has two faders on either side so you can use whchever and both have hamster switches so can revers them if you cut from left-open to right-closed or vice versa. so covers everyone.
