'Number of horses' on the loose in central London

Two loose horses have been seen running around central London, one of which appeared to be covered in blood.

All five horses involved are now safe, have been recaptured and are getting the best possible vetinary treatment. According to Radio 2( at around 12.45 am) the horses were spooked this morning, by some workmen laying cement in the road. Two of the horses ( probably the injured grey and the black horse )were able to gallop a distance of 5 miles from the scene of the accident. No other further details were given at this time.

Some building material fell right next to these horses from a construction site which spooked the horses. Horses are back in the barracks and being looked after. Three soldiers also sustained minor injuries.

I would suggest that whoever is in charge of the building work where that concrete or whatever it was that fell is mainly responsible for this. They need to own it. Maybe it was an accident or maybe the builders dropped it down without considering that it might upset the horses but I say this is where the responsibility is. Health & Safety is a priority on or near a building site.

They were being rode past a building site where they were throwing large lumps of concrete down a chute into a skip, the horses bolted, some threw their riders. Two Black and one Grey horse which was bleeding, travelled some distance. All safely back now. By the way no such thing as a White horse, they are called Grey!

In all seriousness though this could have ended much more tragically! It's worth mentioning though that it's an equestrian fact that horses really don't like sudden change and can be easily spooked even from something from as small as a field mouse aswell as a sudden change in their daily routine and diet. It's believed that one or more of these horses involved got spooked during the Royal Parade processions although the exact details in question aren't exactly clear at this stage but as mentioned previously horses don't like sudden change which this alone can easily spook them. Whatever the exact case in detail over this incident then am sure it will be subject to a full investigation as to what exactly happened which one would expect to be prompt and thorough in full for all parties involved and concerned to help prevent that something like this never happens again!
