Some of the greatest music to come out of the sixties. I used to love, as a 19 year old kid in 1984, driving my '67 Mustang, with all the windows down, blasting my motown collection. I wore out 3 sets of cassettes doing that. RIP Mary Wilson.

Fantastic, brought back so many memories from my youth. I will always treasure growing up in the '60s. The Supremes always seemed to express through song, what I was experiencing in my young heart and teen life. They were magnificent then and still are today. Thank you for this marvelous presentation. I hope the teens of today find the Supremes.

Herley - You are missing the point - They also rocked my world as a young white boy. In a different time The Supremes and other major African American musical acts showed their humanity and how beautiful black people are; they helped to break down barriers.

Jeff she rocked everyone's world regardless of color. That's why they were number 1. Their sound seared through culture and color barriers. Diana's non-marginalizing and versatile sounding voice was a sound everyone could relate to. It is no surprise they were very popular with white audiences

Also, the Supremes had more No. 1 songs than any American male group. And it was happening in the very competitive times, when there were Beatles and other British groups, Beach Boys, Four Seasons, Sinatra and Dean Martin and hundreds of other talented acts all vying for that elusive No. 1 spot at the same time. Some great acts, like for instance CCR, never had a No. 1 single.

Mary Wilson, Florence Ballard, Motown, Berry Gordy and the entire City or Detroit should thanking their lucky stars that Diana Ross ever came into their lives because this is the only reason why HIT SINGLES were Made. All because the SUPREME ONE MISS DIANA ROSS was singing lead on all the songs! DIANA ROSS HAS A TOTAL of #18 Number One Billboard Pop Singles While Mary Wilson is still famously known as "THE NO HIT SUPREME" with absolutely ZERO hits to her credit. NONE!! NOTHING!! NADA!! DIANA ROSS 4EVER!!!

Jeremy A. I'm not overstating a god damn thing. What I said is the truth. DIANA ROSS was Motown's Bread and Butter and without DIANA ROSS pouring out hit after hit after hit with her unique outstanding voice and charm the entire corporation would have failed. Diana Ross along with HDH made it a great success. But Mary and Flo were definitely not needed. and Diana Ross was front and center so nobody even knew what HDH looked like. it was ALL ABOUT DIANA ROSS. She was the ONE and ONLY reason for the SUCCESS of Motown, and Detroit. PERIOD

@@stillstanding4380 True, but. Diana Ross was the hit maker. She was Motown's bread & butter for many years. The QUEEN with 18 # number 1 hit Motown singles. Without MISS ROSS even Berry has said he wouldn't have not had the dream & inspiration he needed for his company and THE BOSS DIVA Ross was the only reason why he was as enthused as well. Nobody else mattered at Motown on the same level as Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and The Jackson 5.
