If he starts to sink in popularity which wouldn’t be a shock considering his level of unpopularity anyway, plus if he doesn’t solve the problems of the day he’ll be blamed for not solving them and thus votes of no confidence will go in. You voted Reform?
@shanjanusman997423 күн бұрын
@@keithframe3489 Nope I voted Workers Party GB. However I do have sympathy for those who voted Workers Party GB or Reform UK or Liberal Democrats or The Greens. All sides must be listened to- immigration is needed at carehomes However the pace of immigration is too fast and the numbers aren't sustainable and also climate change is real and is happening a very cold day for July 2024 and also The Tories sent people to foodbanks thus meaning I couldn't ever support them again.

Hey, friendly question here. I’m Canadian and am wondering how come there’s no transitional period between administrations in the UK? Here it’s a roughly 2 week lag between the election of a new parliament/prime minister and the time that they formally take office, and in the US it’s something like 2 1/2 months. Why so quick for you guys?

On 4th July, the people of the UK opted for change. They believe Labour is that change, a vessel to steer and drive us in the right direction. The easy part (up until 4th) is over with and so begins the new governments journey of implementing and installing change into the system, on behalf of and for the people. That gift of power is on loan to them and Labour has a very difficult job ahead, as you need to earn and keep our trust, respect as well as listening and reacting to our words and movements. Change isn’t a 1D object, a planet without a Sun or a single sided coin (two heads or two tails). Change can be good or bad. It’s now finally time for Labour to put its money where its mouth is. Actions not words. Proactive not reactive. To act in the best interest of us and deliver true change that’s meaningful for us now and in the future.

Less than 20% of the country voted for them.

@@joshpalmer3754 Not how the voting system works. FPTP was voted to stay as a voting system in 2011 by the people of the UK. 20% of the country voted for them because the voter turnout (the actual people who voted in total) was 60%, the lowest since 2001 with 59.4% and 1918 with 57.2%. Labour's votes was overall 9,660,081, or 33.9% of people who could vote and DID vote, voted for them. Again, FPTP was chosen to remain literally through a referendum, xD

@@ThatKermitGuy So Labour got 38,000 votes per seat. Reform 82,000 votes per seat. 80% of the Country did not vote Labour. In reality they got just over 50% of Reforms 4,000,000 votes. First Past the Post has now been Exposed as a Rigged System. Ok people voted in a Referendum. But people also Voted Tory. If it Wasnt Explained so People actually Understanded the Implications it might have been a different outcome. Like i said its Now Been Exposed.

From the U.S but I wish him the best of luck -- I want to see the UK as a global leader and that starts with fixing their domestic issues such as inflation, cost of living, etc.
