He referenced another KZbin video you can go to for further study on this. He didn't skirt the issue. God is the Author of life, not death. It becomes suspect theology when we brand a verse with our own limited viewpoints to box God into OUR thinking and not His.

Those extinctions were the result of paying the ultimate price of sin-death. The peoples extinguished knew of God and their people's roots came from a complete knowledge of God. They rejected God and paid the same price we will all pay for rejecting God. The Canaanites were not ignorant of God and even when they saw His people at the gates of Canaan still did not come to obedience. God's plan is life and if we reject, death is the wages of sin for all. His Edenic plan was not to punish but to give us all eternal life. Its still His desire and why Jesus died for us. The choice is ours. We can't blame God for our own choosing of death.

It’s called “A Biblical Argument for Abortion?” Its trendy to cite that passage as a Biblical example of abortion, but if you read the text accurately, you’ll find that isn’t the case at all. Unfortunately, there are all kinds of articles online that misrepresent the text and build their case using loose textual evidence. My video breaks down one of those articles.
