Our immigration is broken and SUPER STUPID, if you come to point of entry, you can apply for asylum if you pass the background check, you are handed a court date and released into the country BUT you can't work for six months, so taxpayers have to take that up. Since its so courts are backed up, may take three to four years. AND what's even worse, if you sneak in, and get caught, you can ask for asylum and given the same for people who came to point of entry. You can just kick them out. Unfortunately for us, both Biden and Trump are terrible at tackling inflation. Trump wants to lower taxes, which causes us to spend more money and thus increase inflation. The government will have to borrow more money and our kids get screwed over. If only either Trump or Biden was smart and realize that the only thing to stop this inflation crisis is to entice companies to pay their workers what they are worth relative to inflation rather than the minimum amount possible. The only way to do that is to make more companies such that available workers become scarce, thus they need to be paid more.

Or you could look at the post that I replied to in order to get context, but i'll elaborate for you. If hunter should be imprisoned for his crime (which i'm not against), then Trump should also be imprisoned for his crimes. It's called equal justice for all, and is one of the cornerstones of our country (not that it is often followed if you are wealthy enough, but it should be). That said, being old is NOT a crime, so if you mean Joe Biden should be imprisoned, you would need to provide some evidence of actual criminal behavior for me to agree with that one. EDIT: corrected a typo

@@nanceymcclure7128 you are not open-minded enough, like every politician nowadays. Closing the border will cost too much money to maintain. A better solution would be to offer a work-for-immigration agreement where immigrants who don’t want to do the typical immigration process have to work on fixing our infrastructure for a couple years before they can be a full-time resident. This fixes our pothole and infrastructure problem and saves us money while doing so (as we pay in Mexican currency). Unfortunately, both Dems and Reps (also seemingly you) can’t think outside the box to come up with these cost-effective solutions.

@@Kipketer911 I’m sure you would rather close the border and let those families suffer. That is inhumane, not this. If you were in their shoes, I’m sure you would rather this compromise rather than suffering. You clearly are blinded by being extremely lucky and not from a poor country. Plus, this work-for-hire is literally already happening in the US, plenty of workers in Mexico are hired by farmers and return to Mexico when they are not working and they live well during their Mexico time since the American dollar is much more valuable than the Mexican dollar. Fathers can keep their kids in Mexico while sending money back to their families, and once they finish their work, they get into the US.

We need politicians to quit with the “political” bullcrap and just think and do what’s RIGHT. This is why we are where we are today.
