Numenera RPG -- Voices of the Datasphere: Deep-Dive Review

In this video we take a deep look at my favourite Numenera supplement so far, Voices of the Datasphere, which brings shades of cyberpunk into your Numenera game.
What I love about this supplement is that it gives the traditional 'cyberspace/matrix' feel of something like Shadowrun or Cyberpunk RED and gives it a distinctly Ninth World flavour. Players entirely convert their bodies into virtual dataforms to enter, instead of just a netrunner being the only one able to 'jack in', and the nodes and frames you can find within can be truly weird. Deeper, older layers of the Datasphere may hold enticing secrets, but can be very dangerous.
As a cyberpunk fan I love what they've done with this supplement, so if you're looking to give your players access to an entirely new, confusing level of reality with entirely new rules, risks and opportunities, definitely give this a look.

I'm pretty sure that Tron and Tron: Legacy were high on the list of inspiration for this game. In my mind, the Datasphere was created using recursions from The Strange. That's why datascribing is very much like translating from The Strange. Your physical body here ceases to exist and a new body is created for you there. Vice versa when you return.
