once again asking Kenji to make a video ranking every Draft/Sealed format he's played

I wouldn't mind seeing that. He rarely does that kind of content unless WOTC is sponsoring him though.

Yeah.. 2/10 seems bit harsh tho.. Is there any otter reason for that beside poor fixing to pun-ish the set so badly?
@petestewart78014 ай бұрын
Really enjoyed this…great example of staying open, like you said. This set seems to make for a lot of tough “fork in the road” picks and this video gives me more confidence to switch late!

Nummy, I have to say that the drafts that you hard pivot are my favorites!

Very cool draft to follow. I don't know if I would have had the courage to switch later in Pack 2, but definitely it was a good choice :)

The first bloomburrow draft I went to, I opened some good black cards early but it wasn’t open at all so I pivoted to otters pack 2 and ended up with a great deck and got first
@MagnokTheMighty4 ай бұрын
I like otters. Cast non-creatures with the cheap enchantments like Meek. Tempest Angler is great, along with quite a few other payoffs. It's pretty card dependent, but I've made it work. Especially with Bria and a couple Stormcatch Mentors.

Great content as always. Thank you. Always a good time drafting with Kenji.
@terraqueo894 ай бұрын
I must say tho it's sad that the "cowboy hat" themed set was a great draft experience and such a cool world like Bloomburrow has such a shallow draft spectrum. I wish this was reversed since cowboy hats are just stupid and bloomburrow feels so unique. But since spoilers it felt like a "standard set" more than a "draft set" if that makes any sense. Anyways, thank you for playing this not-so-enjoyable format, Nummy. Watching you play helps me so much with my draft trials. Thanks to you I can play only draft.

Dafore recently uploaded a video called “TALENT TRIBAL” that I think you would be interested in. Its less about the intended archetypes and scratches that “cooked up deck” itch. Also utilizing the potentially undervalued card, Builders Talent?
@jeremyklotz58034 ай бұрын
Some of my best decks have been straying away from archetypes and using cross synergy. Had a red green deck with that had a slew of valiant creatures in red (2 heartfire heros helped) and a ton of ways to trigger valiant. Both green talents, 2 herbalist and the mouse that pumps creatures in combat too.

What is a 10/10 format for Kenji, if BLB is a 2/10 in best of 1?
@NumotTheNummyYT4 ай бұрын
Honestly bo1 probably reduces the rating of any format by a bit, as I feel after playing bloomburrow bo3 for a while it's probably closer to 4/10. So to answer your question, no format is a 10/10 bo1

I think otters are bad since you have to draft a lot of non-otter stuff and you don't have a strong synergy within otter alone. Other tribes can draft only tribal cards and they get away with it.
@terraqueo894 ай бұрын
It is so cool that Helga is pretty good commander card and such a bad draft card. I have some "commander" friends that are getting into draft in Arena and they tend to think that good commander cards are good draft cards. Helga is the perfect counter-example.
@jeremyklotz58034 ай бұрын
Otters are terrible because they are understated. 1/1, 1/3, 1/4, 3/4. Even the rare and mythic have terrible stats and effects. Not to mention, it's second colour is blue...

Think the conclusion is not right. That is NOT a good deck. Of course drafting the open lane is a valid suggestion in every draft. And right, Magic today has a lot of playables. But the normal nummy-thing (= stay open until pick twenty) is a much worse idea in this format than in many others. You may end with enough playables but with a nonfunctional deck like this

I don't know why you pretend to be open, if you just draft stupid frogs every time. Be honest about it and advice people to force frogs, if you don't consider 6th pick Wick's patrol a signal.
