Really lovely and archaic versets of Nun komm tune being presented in multiple creative ways. I hope to be able to try out this landmark organ next September.

Thanks, Vidas. That must be a great experience, will you play the other famous organs in Stralsund too?

Fantastic performance, Ralph. Your registrations feel so natural for this music. So much colour and musical flow on display. I may be suffering from a severe case of sample set FOMO here😅.

Thanks, Marek! I don't have shares in Sonus Paradisi, but I can highly recommend this set. One of the finest I have.

@@RalphLooij Rest assured that this set is at the top of my wishlist for 2025. It's a question of "when" rather than "if". An amazing instrument to have in the VPO world.

Lovely soothing sounds. This music comes from the "Adam Reincken" school, I think. You can feel Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck in the music, Reincken's teacher. Böhm, Scheidt and Scheidemann also come from Reincken's students, as far as I know. This is perhaps the work of one of the many other students?

Thanks, Harm! True, certainly early North German organ music. I think Reincken is more developed, so I guess a bit before him or just from a less advanced contemporary composer. Could very well be from one of the students.

Good morning, Ralph. It's always a pleasure to begin my work with so beautiful pieces you perform. Just a doubt to clarify: is this work a contemporary one of the composer Adam von Illeborgh? I have one of his compositions, and that is the first one of the volume of examples from Gotthold Frotscher's "Geschichte des Orgelspiels und der Orgelkomposition".

I have no idea who composed these verses. From what I found it is by the famous mr. Anonymous ;) Anyway, great examples of early North German organ music.
