As per the rules of the show, singers could only perform 2 of their own songs, the rest had to be covers, Nunchucks is a straight rap song from Jay Chou that HuaHua rearranged this way, mixing genres and only keeping the last original part. HuaHua is one of the top artists in China at the moment, he's a composer, musician and performer who can't really be categorized, his music is very varied, rock, rap, beautiful ballads, you never know what you're going to get with him. He's been touring China's biggest stadiums and attraction park this year and by the end of the year, a million fans will have attended his conccerts. His concerts sell out in seconds, his next Guangzhou concert early December just sold out in 1 second. All time favourite composer, performer, singer.. he rejuvenated my love for music… big words but true. I also love his rap.. this song is a plain rap originally. Hua Chenyu can transform and rearrange any song into something amazing.... although that is not what his music is about. Thank you for reacting to him.

When you said, "He's doing it for the culture, guys!" I laughed out loud. That's right, man. He took the inspiration from Chinese opera. There are a whole bunch of traditional branches - Peking, Canton, Jilin, Pingju, etc - but generally they have a uniquely high pitched and gender-fluid (men can sing female role). An brief example of Peking opera can be seen here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/inWnZHSkhdKIbdE. So Hua Hua was in a competition where the singer has to make new arrangement of a song. The original song was created by another famous Chinese singer, Jay Chou (kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYOQYaqmqa6Sq5I). If you compare the two, you can see how talented Hua Hua is. Hua Hua made such an amazing, dramatic and beautifully chaotic version of Jay's very popular song. Honestly, I like Hua Hua's version better. Cheers from Indonesia!!!
