Great reaction, A. You're going to be surprised every single time you listen to Hua Hua. (That's his nickname - just say "Hwa Hwa") He is genre defying. So to answer your question, he does way more than just rap/rock, which you'll get a taste of if you keep going through Singer 2018 - eg Child, and Ordinary Path. That year contestants were only allowed to perform two of their own songs, the rest had to be covers. So Equal to Heaven and the fabulous New World (sometimes called Shout) are his amazing originals. Nunchucks is by the famous Jay Chou, but Hua Hua rearranged it into the stratosphere! The use of piano (real and imaginary) reference a tiny bit of unexpected piano in the original. Hua Hua is meticulous in everything he does. Did you pick up on the hard and softness of nunchucks being expressed through the "hard and softness" of the music - he alternated ethereal singing with rap, rock, choir and even traditional Chinese opera, during which he used tai chi and lotus-hand movements. In Singer 2020, he was allowed to perform all originals, which are breathtaking in their diversity, and stunning in their conceptual depth and expression. He is a quiet, deeply reflective man offstage, but as you have realized, he is electric on stage! He is absolutely adored in China, and by his growing international fans. His reputation rests on his astoundingly unique and creative songwriting, dynamic stage presence and sensitive persona. Jessie J, KZ and Hua Hua are definitely the three best of Singer 2018. He won Singer 2020, where his original songs put him on an entirely higher plane. Blessings.

Another singer that is highly rated is Hua Chenyu. Hua was performing on The Singer at the same time Dimash was being introduced to the world on that show. I have a recommendation list, but it is not really in any particular order. "Child", I am what I am", "Fake Monk", "Friend", and "Dad, I'm Home". With the song, "Dad, I'm Home", it is one of the saddest songs developed. Mind you, Hua Chenyu is a very unique artist doing his own thing. You never really know what you are going to get with each of his songs.

Hello .. All the contestants of the Singer 2018 can only do 2 of their own songs, the others are covers. when you need to know who wrote the songs and who arranged it... you will find out at the beginning of all performances. Check at 1:04 But Hua Chenyu is a great composer/singer/performer/musician etc etc etc... lolll He worth the detour, he is so versatile. Thanks for this reaction!

That performance was fire! Check out an entire episode if you have time, this show is amazing, the band, light show is off the hook...All the singers were dope and multi-talented. Hua, KZ Tandingan and Jessie stood apart from the rest. Jessie was already an icon and known to the Chinese audience, so, for the crowd, it was sort of like witnessing her own concert. Hua and KZ though were rising stars, KZ unknown entering the competition. But these two really blew my mind every single performance. They both seem to become possessed when they perform. Just in the zone every time. Fire reaction A! We need a show like The Singer in the US!

HuaHua 🤩. He doesn't always rap. He has lots of songs without rap. But also rap songs like Here we are. Please check out Here we are, Bullfighting, Madhouse, I don't care, Aliens..... (all are his own compositions)🤗

Thanks for the fun reaction lol He has so many other styles such as new age, experimental, classical, reggae, opera, heavy metal, etc. I think you will have to keep on exploring to understand what kind of artist he is. He studied music since he is 5 so he is a great composer besides being a great vocalist. This is a cover. His origins usually have deep lyrics like beautiful poetry.

I'm so glad you found Hua Chenyu (sounds like Watchin' You). His last name is Hua. He's such a genius at singing and songwriting! Hua Hua is incredibly versatile and can sing any genre. Hey this song just showcases HuaHua's versatility in composing and singing. He's a genius and very novative composer, skilled musician, very versatile. Basically he's a rocker, rapper, has beautiful ballads. He often adds rap parts to his songs, but not always, check his songs New World and Bullfighting which are his own songs, both mixing rock and rap parts. Good morning to you. Hua Chenyu = whatchin u. He is a composer and arranger, so as most other composers he has to know how instruments work. His instrument is the piano, used to be the flute. Nanchucks is a rearrangement of a rapsong by Jay Chou. Way different from the orriginal. Nobody can turn a song upside down like he does. The soft in Nanchucks is the strings holding them together - not always metal. 😉 Hes a very good rapper, but he doesnt always rap. Hcy changes vocals and rap/singing to match the presentation of the music. If rap makes it better, thats what he will do. He covers most genres, and still is distinctively Hua Chenyu - style.

Yes "Nuchucks" and "Fake Monk" is rearragment very diffrent than orginals. I would hear that Hua makes rearrgment very popular english song. :D

Hey, thanks for reacting. Hua Chenyu does not rap in every song, he uses rap when he finds that it serves the meaning of the song some how. In his performance of "Child", "Ordinary Path" and "Flammable and Explosive" He does not rap. He is a singer, rapper, performer, but he is an artist and musician first and foremost. 💕 Mai

bro I like your vibe when you doing reaction. Here are some recommendations of the singer, 「fake monk」a dark, intense performance make me feel like a horror movie. 「god tree」a song that got real good meaning and super deep lyrics. BTW there is a girl singer you might like from this show name 「G.E.M」, I think you might like her vibe as well. Keep up the good work!

Jessie J won the competition in 2018 and Hua was 2nd but she participated in the whole season whereas Hua arrived in episode 4, but let's not go there, he was awarded "most viewed song for all Singer's seasons for Qi Tian/ Equal to Heaven" though. But you know, Baby Bamboo gave up uploading Hua's videos one year ago and her videos have kind of grown old, please check Hua Chenyu English subs Yt channel for better quality videos and more recent stuff. Also HuaHua participated in the edition of Singer 2020 singing his own music only and won it, all the videos worth a reaction! Only cover was in episode 5 or 6, song called Us, which was my least favorite.
