Some observations I made. 1) You did all that without even one single Virgin train passing by which is quite an amazing feat considering the station your at. 2) I can relate to the all platform hopping you did that day, you must have been wore out. 3) When using a tripod and a fast freight comes it might be worth holding it with 2 hands and putting some down force on it if you don't want the shimmering effect. Sometimes the shimmering gives you a sense of being there with the wind and the vibrations. 4) you weren't always on the sunny side, but I really liked the varying angles especially (and weirdly) some of the outgoing shots of freights.. And lastly what a day, you saw lots and it was a great video throughout.. really really enjoying your videos. Your somewhere in the top 3 youtubers I like watching now.. Well done and thanks for the upload. Richie.

Thanks very much, Richard. I appreciate your comments. I accumulated 15000 steps from walking/running around Nuneaton station that day, so worn out is probably an understatement. For future videos, I'll consider hooking my bag to the bottom of the tripod for stability, as fairly often I'll be taking photographs at the same time. With the sun being out most of the day, the shots would have become somewhat repetitive if I'd have always been at the sunny side. Almost 60 freights were seen on this day, between 06:30 & 19:30 - but several weren't featured in this video due to being in the wrong place, bowlage or simply not choosing to upload.

Great stuff. Massive number of containers must pass through Nunny each day. Replacing all the ballast trains Iused to watch there back in the 80s. Pleased to see the odd 86 still passes through, the massed ranks of 31s are long gone though.

Thanks for watching. The container trains make up the main bulk of freight that passes Nuneaton on a typical day. Even the 86's are becoming somewhat rare now.

Not many places you can see nearly 40 freights in a day now sadly it's the West Coast Mainline-Crewe southwards or Ipswich that rewards you with that amount in a day... Donny has died a death since coal finished and then there's really only Peterborough that's fairly busy on East Coast now..

Thanks for watching. Yes, there is very few places for 40+ freights. Interestingly, the day I was at Nuneaton I saw around 60 freights in total. I did Peterborough a few days before this Nuneaton film, and it was quite a bit busier than I expected. You're certainly correct about Doncaster, it's one of my local stations and very rarely worth a visit.
