This thing sounds really good for the price. If you're going only for acoustics, then the linears sound better, but I'm a tactile lover through an through. Those Baby Kangaroo switches seem like a nice option. Thanks for the review!

awesome video. I'm really surprised at the products Nuphy is putting out

Hey awesome video man! If I choose to go with the Baby Raccoon would I be able to use cherry profiles keycaps as well? For linear would you go with the Night Breeze or Baby Raccoon? Is hard to find information if they are long pole. Thank you!
@Romsicle2 жыл бұрын
Any keycap profiles will work! - Night Breeze are just slightly heavier than Baby Raccoon, so for the average person, Raccoons are good. Breeze is better for heavier handed people, but the difference is negligible. Long pole just means you can stick them on north facing keyboards and still work with cherry profile keycaps without interference.

Apparently all Rose Glacier Halo75s have Night Breeze spacebar.

Interesting. Surprisingly, they don't sound or feel all that different either.

Aiming to buy this as my first mechanical keyboard. The only problem is that I don't have any experience with switches, and even though I know what "feel" I'm looking for, I can't really understand in technical terms how it translates. If I compare them to a mattress, I want the extra firm, tactile, silent, and bouncy feel. Which switches should I order it with? Thanks for the 10% code!

If this is your first mechanical keyboard, and you want a tactile switch, the G Pro Brown switches are pretty good (check my Halo 65 for the sound test). If you want to get a little adventurous, Baby Kangaroos are great too. If you want to dive depper, there's also the other added option of buying some Boba U4T switches from Aliexpress (linked in description) and replace the switches since it's hotswappable.

@@Romsicle I will buy the boba U4, but should I go for the 62 or 68? Which one feels harder?
@Romsicle2 жыл бұрын
@@christosegkos 68 is harder, but the 62 is more than plenty

Be wary that nuphy's hardware is great but their software is trash. You'll be better off with a qmk/via keyboard in the long run (look at keychron's stuff).

@@gerrylee79 These are standard sized key spacings, which means you're just used to having a larger margin of error for finger placements LOL

it's north-facing or not??
@HandsomeAlex252 жыл бұрын
You can see at 1:10 that it's north facing, but he does say that the switches that come with it are Cherry and GMK compatible. RGB is only on the halo ring around the edge of the frame, not per key lighting, based on what I see on the product page. Edit: I might be wrong on the RGB - the shot at 2:49 shows an LED (unilluminated) at the top of the switch.
@Romsicle2 жыл бұрын
It also has per key RGB too! That's why they have the option for backlit keycaps!

Sounds hollow af So now it's officially NoIsy Hollow75
@Romsicle2 жыл бұрын
You might be right 😂 you don't hear the hollowness when using it regularly tho (only when super close up) which is enough for me
@prorocksunboy2 жыл бұрын
@@Romsicle agreed) Some cases just sound hollow and it's not nececcarily bad. NuPhy is a nice keyboard but it's a bit overestimated and overhyped for the price they offer. The same about the low-profile version Anyways, modding and different keycaps and switches could change a lot in its sound) (But some people would give no damn about any so-called hollowness, they would just like the way it sounds and this is what really matters)
