Selim has blonde hair almost red. He will give Nurbanu a handsome and pretty princess. Literally speaking (in this series) Selim is kind and handsome. He only looks fierce but he has a soft heart. He's not even arrogant like bayezid.

He could love and give nurbano more than his other women but being a father , being a sultan he should have treat his sons equal but he didn't , he broke the traditions and sent only his older son to Sanjak , which made him only capable for throne while rest of his brothers didn't know how to handle the state affairs , same goes for Murad , he has 20+ sons but he sent only Mehmet his older son to Sanjak and rest of sons didn't get any training of handling state affairs . Of course they were destined to be sultan but Selim started the wrong thing and from where the fall started .... Before that every member of dynasty especially males were treated alike .. each got equal chance to prove themselves
