Nurburgring Nordschleife - Porsche 911(964) Turbo chase - 04.09.22

Followed a gorgeous Porsche 911(964) Turbo (not 911(993) as stated earlier) around for a lap. Really enjoyed this lap.

Nice sub 9 lap in traffic, almost perfect line. Quite good example for people which are new to the ring.

You are right Acalthu, that's a 930. And for Shamar, squealing brakes means mostly means the driver doesn't brake hard enough... 😉

9:40 not a 964, it seems a late 70's early 80's 911/930 turbo with options, probably a RSR (front and rear larges spoilers, rear very large 15' wheel etc etc it sounds parts of RSR, maybe a Ruf)

Not a 993, it‘s a 964 the generation befor the 993

From what I can see it is neither a 993 nor a 964 but a G-Model (930 Turbo) built 1974 and 1989. Very nice car. Good line also! 👍🏻

That's what racing brakes sound like if they are only warm and not hot (or completely cold). Unless I am doing a flying lap, they squeak.

@@christophercolumbus8944 It is yes. I had them changed / upgraded recently and it appears that the rotor and pad combination is pretty squeaky. It has been back to the dealership to see if it can be solved but so far, nothing has helped. Different pads next time I think :)
