Thanks Adam. Germany certainly intended to make a statement when designing these buildings. It's good that they have survived and that Germany is more now more 'open' about this period in their history.

I'd absolutely love to visit here, i feel it's so important to visit these sights. Brilliant video, Alice, as always, and how nice to see the buildings described without politics, magnificent structures in their own right, and the grandeur of the gatherings of days gone by, no matter why they were held, mentioned without any political point scoring. It's a rare thing to see historical events described without 'taking sides' or pushing agendas, which I find often ruins historical documentaries. Well done, keep it up.

Thanks, Denton. I appreciate your comment. A fascinating insight into the events during WW2. My focus was to show the remains without taking sides, and as you say, other videos tend to show a bias.

I agree it was an interesting video, for sure. But I think taking a position against bigoted policies, curtailed freedoms and warmongering in general, goes somewhat *beyond* mere politics and "political point scoring". I would say that any "bias" towards decency and liberty are understandable undertones in an historical documentary, and to be expected. It's not done gratuitously, it's just *unavoidable* considering the subject matter and the known historical facts. I don't know how that can be described as 'pushing an agenda'.

The video is about buildings, their design and impressive structure, and the undeniably spectacular events of the time, not ideologies. One can admire the Coliseum in Rome as a magnificent building without delving into what took place there, or tour the Vatican without a lecture on the Inquisition. Too many videos on historical subjects go off into diatribes about ideology that has nothing to do with what they start off talking about. I think Alice gets it right in that she is talking about buildings and events, not what they might be associated with, the two things are different. If I want to hear about evil ideologies I'll listen to a video on that subject, but if I want to enjoy and apprecheate the beauty of a building then I'll go with Alice. @@renejean2523

I've been here. The rallies had a lot of resemblance with the Roman empire. They even planned to demolish Berlin after the war and rebuild it. Again much of the architecture based on the Roman Empire. Designed by Albert Speer.

What intrigues me with the Nazi Party Era is when looking at film these were full grown adult men behaving like they did. How could they possibly believe that they could sustain a culture of murder for 1,000 years?

You are so right. No empire lasted that long, but the Nazis did plan for a 1000-year reich. I guess the higher the level of paranoia, the higher the level of delusion.
