A really enjoyable video Alice in this new series 👍 👌. Great to see all the coaches, hearses (amazing to think that horse drawn hearses are still used these days) the beautiful gardens and the castle. I couldn't make out what was in the water 😂, but fab dinosaur exhibition......I can imagine the kids being really excited seeing them all. Many thanks Alice ❤
@AliceGoss5 күн бұрын
Glad you enjoyed this first episode. There was nothing in the water, the ripples only suggesting the presence of a dinosaur. Those old hearse and carts were a treat to see, especially when presented as a collection.

Hi Alice! Thanks so much for bringing us along on this virtual journey. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the vintage cars and carriages, such a nostalgic treat. The landscapes were stunning, the historic sites fascinating, and those dinosaurs were an amazing to see. Great filming and wonderful info throughout the video. Wishing you a fantastic New Year ahead.
@AliceGoss5 күн бұрын
Thanks Gasper. Those old carriages were quite fascinating to look at, an unusual collection. Yes, those dinosaurs were fun. I must find some more.

It’s quite surprising how the German government lets all Nazi landmarks rot and don’t restore them. It sounds crazy but look at Rome and Athens they’re restoring all past architecture buildings. I wish Germany would instead stop ignoring their history and restore Nazi area building for tourism. It’s a tragic time in the world that needs to be reminded. The atrocities are not spoken enough. A shame to see the state of these places. They more just wish to ignore their past
@AliceGoss6 күн бұрын
Oh I agree. Germany is gradually opening up on its history with specialist museums but I agree, they could do more. I expect they will over time.

Didn't realise that you've written some books. This sounds an interesting read.....now purchased and looking forward to reading it. George Fox had his vision on Pendle Hill, which is located not far from where I live. My 7 X gt grandmother (also a Quaker) travelled alone on horseback in the 1680s from Lancashire to London, in order to rescue her 2 orphaned grandchildren. Their father was imprisoned (for preaching about the Quaker faith) and died whilst awaiting transportation, and their mother (sister of my 6X gt grandfather) died not long afterwards. The 2 young children were transported back up to Lancashire in the panniers on the horse. One of the boys kept diaries which are now located in the Quaker archives.
