Hi!! I'm so excited to have a channel dedicated just to advice videos. Can't thank you all enough for inspiring me to share this type of content with you. I often talk about these types of topics on my Snapchat and Facebook too, so feel free to follow along. If there's anything you'd like to see, let me know =) Lots of love. xoxo
A whole bunch of stuff I referenced in the video:
✦ Mala bead bracelets (I need a new one!): www.malasbyemma... or her Instagram: / malasbyemma
✦ The Five Minute Journal: bit.ly/1SPnAKZ
✦ The two meditation apps I mentioned: Headspace is the one Alex Ikonn uses. Buddify is the one I use and the app I showed in the video.
✦ Did I forget something? Let me know! =)

Oh God yes. I was shy, always afraid what people will think. Little thing--remembering names. I was so embarrassed I forgot someone's name, I would get so stressed. Until I just stopped, someone tells me their name and I just jokingly say "I'm so bad with names I'll forget it in 5 seconds". Honestly, idk what I expected but a lot of people just smile and say they're the same. I started being more honest since, because we're all people.

You nailed it. I'm a lawyer with a huge loan that matures when I am 62. I am miserable in my career b/c how i perceived it is not what it is. I am now inspiring others to carve your own path in life, look things up, research better living, higher consciousness, emotional control and recreate yourself starting with loving yourself. I'm happier today because of it.

my mom says that when something of meaning breaks it had fulfilled it's purpose and you have reached a new stage in your personal growth. Maybe the bracelet breaking symbolises that you have reached a new stage in your growth with patience. 😊 Love your videos they're showing me a new perspective I have a tendency to stay in toxic relationships because I can see how much they're hurting and I want to help but them I end up getting hurt. I'm going to start focusing on my happiness so thank you.

Maybe sharing your tips for beating procrastination. I know sometimes i have trouble getting motivated. I say "10 more minutes then ill go to bed"... well then i found your video. 20 minutes long. Completely worth it, but you see my dilema! I do this type of thing all the time where I give myself a time limit then when its that time, I completely ignored it like "oops oh well". OOOH or tips for maintaining motivation for school? Sometimes i get discouraged but i have just been taking it day by day and doing the best I can with some improvements, but sometimes i slip up and get lazy :( I know the motivation to get things done comes from within myself though, sometimes it just hides from me lol. I guess that's a part of growing up and turning from a teenager into an adult.

When you are changing something you dont like about yourself, there will be many days that go really bad. The only thing i want to do after that is go to sleep or cry and there are still many things to do in the day but you cant focus at all. Some excersice to move on from those bad moments and focus on the rest of things you can do to improve.

The one who didn't give a crap about others opinions of me, loved people and being around them, enjoyed nature, being hopeful and positive about career and love, etc. Now, I hate everything. When something happens, even if it is just a little something but that resonates hard in my mind for a little while, I just write it on a random piece of paper... just a free piece of paper and I do a huge rant about how I feel and how I perceived the situation, how I perceive the people around me during the specific situation, whether it is about friendship, love, self-esteem, whatever it is, I rant for a good page and a half maybe two pages or until I don't have anything new to add or until the point where I feel better with everything out of my mind and on a paper. Then, I throw the paper out. I fold it up nicely and I throw it out. No one has to know about it, just me and the fact that it is out feels so great! But sometimes I will keep it and just put it in my drawer or near my diary, just somewhere where no one will see it except me at some point and that's the end of it!

I agree with Nur. Growth is so important for us in terms of being better to each other, being better human beings, and ultimately, being better to ourselves. I find as I get older and out of the know-it-all phase of teen/early adulthood, I am more introspective and do a lot of inner work as opposed to blaming external factors or others around me for the way my life is going. Life becomes so much more fulfilling when you put genuine interest into the things and people around you. And when you are in touch with yourself and honest with yourself, you can cultivate and nurture the relationships you wish to have, the life you want to lead, and the things that fill you up and make you whole (and happy). I am so excited for Nurology. Sign me up! Class is in session! :D

This is a great advice video. I remember in my first semester of university, after encountering a lot of personal challenges, realising that I sucked at managing my emotions and that I was not emotionally mature. And I remember that I started to read and thinking about how to be "emotionally mature" and realising that not everybody did that, and wondering why nobody had talked to me or taught me about managing emotions. I think it's great you're putting it out there.

It's a very common misconception that people dont change. I hear that all of the time. "People dont change." No. People DO change. Its all a matter of that individual. If they believe they are who they are and so long as they give in to the misconception that people can't change then no, they aren't going to change, but ANYONE can change if you just want to. It's LITERALLY just all in your head. Its all a matter of the mentality you hold. I've always believed that anyone can change and anyone who has done enough self reflection and has become self aware enough to actually change anything they don't like about themselves realises this. With that in mind, it's also the reason why it's so important to forgive people if you know they are coming from a place of true self reflection and growth. Having this mentality also helps you understand other people better and you build stronger relationships because of it. Just think of someone you could have forgiven in the past. That person probably did actually change but since you were stuck with the wrong mentality that people dont change, you chose not to forgive them and that relationship between you and that person suffered for it. Your mind can be your own worst enemy and you won't even realise it. Thank you nur for your videos. You make everyone more self aware by watching your videos, and that is making the world a better place. Awareness is the answer to life and if everyone was aware then the world would be a much better place. So many people are ignorant in a sense that they don't realise you can be who ever you want to be. So greatful to have someone like you in this world teaching people the right ways of life. You're truley a blessing.

one idea i have been implementing with bad habits or wanting to turn good habit into a personality and who you are is that i don't try to be something at once. instead i put it into steps prioritizing most important to least important and i focus on the first step first. i focus on it for a couple of days or weeks until i realize that i have been getting better at it and it's starting to flow unconsciously and then i proceed to the next step while maintaining the previous step. i use to pick my face a lot and i use to pick specifically my center, nose, and forehead area. because of this i constantly had bad acne on my face. i've tried to wear gloves and tried any other methods to stop me from picking my face so much. stopping cold turkey is much harder than expected so my next idea was instead of touching my face i would touch my arm instead. when you pick your face and you get acne it hurts (A LOT) so i guess i learned to use the hurt as a signal alarm to realize to stop touching my face. as gross as it sounds as soon as i realize or feel the pain i would remove my hand right away from my face and onto my other arm. now my acne has cleared significantly thanks to this strange technique. it has helped to make me feel better about myself because i used to be very insecure and didn't have much confidence in myself. somehow clearer skin just helped considerably in some psychological and mental way. hope i can help someone out there.

I've barely started the video but I was insanely depressed for yes for trauma and many other reasons. So I experienced a bad breakup to a toxic relationship and I was insanely depressed. I hungout with random people. I became very impulsive. Like it felt like I was high the whole time even though I don't do any drugs. I started trying to watch healthy relationship or exercise videos. Anything get my mind off of everything. I would exercise a lot then stop then do it again. I started to do every little thing to help my mental health I quit making negative jokes abt myself(I only had recently started making them just to be relatable to other ppl I've always loved myself) I stopped saying negative things or certain negative jokes. I realize everything you do subconsciously affects you. I had an addiction to sad things. Most people do. I stopped wearing black because it subconsciously means depression. I hid my tv so I wouldn't watch it. I started researching a lot for my life and reading books. I went months of no depressing music and instead listened to Bach and Beethoven when I wanted music or listened to songs about love. I tried to get off social media. Flopped ended up just following everything I want in my life and deleted and unfollowed a lot of negative people. I also kept trying to eat healthier I did go a few months of fair success lol but I also live at home and can't totally control that. I started watching a lot of self improvement videos ect.

You're so right, we always have to continue to improve ourselves and not think we're perfect in everything all the time .. Also, incorporating true religious beliefs in your life and diving in it/educating yourself about it, starting with the situation/issue at hand usually helps, positive change happens without you even knowing it

I recently learned an amazing way to be happy from Abraham hicks, just care about how you feel. Letting the way you feel be the most important thing you. Deciding to feel good. I've loved doing this ever since I got back from Switzerland. It's been my way of attracting amazing things and people in my life...

Hi, actually, perhaps without putting it out there, but all this can apply to sociopathic narcissist disorder...it may help the people involved: both target and victim and vice versa, because the INTERACTION between the two is interchangeable and each one suffers profoundly. It is refreshing that you approach most stuff in a positive light. Healing and not bashing is what works...and I think you accomplish this.

I start being more open minded and met really interesting and cool people. They inspired me to become a better person. The good things I see, I start incorporating it into my life. If it works, I continue. I think people who want to better their self are capable of change. Close minded people have a harder time and I do not like close minded people.

Girl you got me crying right now..Your so beautiful.. You literally could be my best friend because we have so much in common..Especially the family part when you said that our parents only focus on merit and achievements. I feel like I had good parents but they lacked in basic life skills --things that I lack today... I wish I had those life skills to truly be successful in my life. I love how when you talk its as if your talking to me... Im so glad I found you here...

Wow this is extremely motivating, and so TRUE! You’re so right about everything and I believe this is my year, and I will do whatever it takes to make this a good year. I am no longer shy, I am no longer full of anxiety. I do a lot, I am brave. I am social. THANK YOU SO MUCH! This really helps and I will start a journal every morning! How to stop caring about how others think really moved me. You said so pretty brilliant things I will now tell someone to watch this video when they come to me. I will say as I always do “you know what’s best for you” but this time I’ll leave out my opinion. Very beautiful you’re an incredible person! I will soon be 17 and I’m I AM ready to make some big bright beautiful changes for myself. Thank you again, and happy new year!♥️

Well, I have to say that I pretty much agree with all your points/thoughts but there was the one that moved me kinda strong: the belief stuff and especially the bad ones which make people totally passive about their life. And that, I'd say, is the greatest of mistakes since it denies any potential development of a particular person. And from my observance of pretty much anything I feel that attentive, mindful action does wonders for nonbelievers. Great stuff, gunna watch the video about Mark Manson because he has a great stuff as well :D

I just discovered your channel and I just have to say thank you! I've been stuck in a rut since febuary. I dropped out of school and I just don't feel like doing anything but staying in bed. Watching this vide, it's the first time in four months that i have felt that kick that forces me to get out of bed and taking my life in my own hands...Thank you :)
