Problem is people from the UK believe our rates are great when they are comparing them to their pay back in the UK not factoring in how much more expensive it is to live in Australia with utilities and food... And rent...

Ive noted that salaries and rates are more significant based on the cost of living of a place. Rent, utilities, monthly expenses. How much can one expect to save say as a single person new in Australia and working in the city ? Kindly break that down state by state. Otherwise we are just excited but it may not be feasible.
