So i can use any method for any drug if i know the average adult dose ?? Second question: why can’t i use the 10-15 mg/kg for tylenol for example? Third question: do these methods measure the single dose that should be given? Or the maximum single dose ? Or the maximum daily dose?

Great questions. These formulas are used when there is not a known pediatric dose. Yes, you can use either formula to calculate. I don’t have Tylenol on me, if it had a pediatric dosing, then use their guideline. If the 10-15 mg/kg is the adult dosing, then use the formulas Single v daily: depends on your values. If you do a daily dose, you will need to further divide the dosing into the number of times the med will be admin in the day
