I love this episode. It's inspired me to let my daughters design their rooms. It's time for a change for their rooms to kind of become their vision boards and reflect who they are and hope to be.

That's truly beautiful. I know everyone is different, but my Mom always had my room "go with the house" which forced me to be creative only within my mind or school work. When I was 16, she let me pick the paint color from 5 colors that she chose, also that go with the house. I'm a super creative soul and my Mom never learned that about me. She'd hear me talk, but she wouldn't let me express. I do believe it's so important to at minimum, give your child a wall or a piece of furniture that they can make their own. Or choose their own bedding, shower curtain, anything that helps them connect with their home, but also themselves. I'm sure you'll have tons of fun with your girls, learning about each other.

Allowing your kid/kids have a pick or design idea for their room is magical. I chose to ask my kids what theme and color they would like for their rooms since they are under 10. I got it spot on 😁 they were super happy with my design. End of jr. high we will which up again but they will have full control as they enter high school... I was granted the same experience from my mom. I hope my kids carry this on because i enjoy letting my kids be individuals. My daughter is 8 and she has mermaid theme, my son 6 and its all about Spiderman.
