However in times when she's calm, I do have conversations with her. Ma passion of being a midwife started when I was small and it’s increased when ma mum admitted to the hospital to deliver, as the first born of the family and the elder one I was asked to be with her in case she needs anything, so as I was there with her there was this midwife who was attending to ma mum , I really admired the midwife because of the qualities she posses, she was very kind and patience and most importantly she was very humble, I liked the way she treated my mum throughout her labor till ma mum delivered so when ma mum was discharged I approved th midwife and told her I really liked the way she treated ma mum and she asked me what I wanted to in future and I told her I want to be just like her and she said I should pay it forward 🙏

As a child i took care of two adults. First was when my uncle had an accident and i would give him his routine drugs,empty his waste content and secondly my old great grandmother. As a teenager i stayed with my pregnant aunty snd went on all hospital appointments with her, the doctors would give me instructions and asked me to make sure i helped her follow it. This gave me satisfaction and fulfillment, so I took a liking to the nursing profession. I want to feel the same satisfaction that i felt in those times

I want to be a mental health nurse when a was younger my best friend in school was diagnosed with autism. I saw how difficult it’s. Almost students are making fun of him. Even the teachers thought he played so much without knowing he had been diagnosed with autism and Learning Disability. He couldn’t get any help. I chose midwifery has my carrier when I was in JHS, i was in the house alone with my pregnant mom and she was in labour, no one was around it was a farming season so she didn't want me to know what has going on, so I want close to her to talk and i notice, so I wanted to help her to the clinic and suddenly the baby was coming out so i have to use my hands to collect the baby, so from then I chose midwifery as my aspect

My mom wasn't a nurse but for the few years I spent with her I could see the passion for helping others in her eyes so when I finally lost her to kidney issues in 2021, I saw people most of whom I've never met in my life coming to give tributes at her burial saying how she was a good person and how she always went out of her way to help those in need when she was strong and that was around the time I was thinking of a career path, so I did my little research and I just knew this was what I wanted to do.

Since my childhood, I have a passion to become a midwife and in my village, there is no professional midwife there and the hospital too is far so anytime pregnant women are in labor, the old women that doesn't know much about child delivery that help them and due to that some of the babies or their mothers are lost.
