When my father-in-law was in assisted living my husband went 6 days a week after work. His girlfriend (he outlived a wife and 1st girlfriend) and I took turns showing up separately at unpredictable times 2 to 3 times a week until I was taking care of her. After that I showed up with no predictable schedule 2 to 3 times a week. If there was an issue my husband addressed immediately. It was a reputable facility AND THEY KNEW WE WERE WATCHING AND DOCUMENTING, so he had great care.

Find out who to speak to before you agree to admit your loved one Be proactive, present and unpredictable, voice concerns immediately. Employee Turn over concerning, some care some DO NOT. BE AWARE OF THE CHARACTER OF THE ATTENDANTS
